[Termes IGN] voxelRésumé : (Auteur) We developed a method to produce a 3-D voxel-based solid model of a tree based on portable scanning lidar data for accurate estimation of the volume of the woody material. First, we obtained lidar measurements with a high laser pulse density from several measurement positions around the target, a Japanese zelkova tree. Next, we converted lidar-derived point-cloud data for the target into voxels. The voxel size was 0.5 cm x 0.5 cm x 0.5 cm. Then, we used differences in the spatial distribution of voxels to separate the stem and large branches (diameter > 1 cm) from small branches (diameter Numéro de notice : A2013-410 Affiliation des auteurs : non IGN Thématique : FORET/IMAGERIE Nature : Article nature-HAL : ArtAvecCL-RevueIntern DOI : 10.1016/j.isprsjprs.2013.04.011 En ligne : https://doi.org/10.1016/j.isprsjprs.2013.04.011 Format de la ressource électronique : URL article Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=32548

[Termes IGN] voxelRésumé : (Auteur) The paper presents improved photogrammetric techniques for the determination of 3D flow velocity fields with the goal of optimising the performance, efficiency and flexibility of the method. This includes a multi-camera system configuration and calibration, as well as approaches for volumetric reconstruction. The result of the volumetric reconstruction process is a time-resolved, voxel-space representation of tracer particles marking a flow. Using a high-speed camera, a typical data-set consists of 1000 volumetric data-sets per second, each with 1000 x 1000 x 300 voxels. 3D tracking in the time-resolved voxel data is performed by 3D least squares tracking, determining 12 parameters of a 3D affine transformation between cuboids in successive voxel data-sets. Besides the cuboid translation, these parameters also include information on the shear tensor of each cuboid. The tomographic reconstruction methods and the cuboid tracking have been implemented and validated with both simulated and real data in an experimental set-up of a vortex ring in a water tank. [Termes IGN] solideRésumé : (Auteur) The goal of this research is to develop a 3D topological structure to represent a 3D space partition with validation functionality and support for conversions from topological to geometrical primitives. Several 3D topological structures have been presented in the past, mainly by researchers. The technical (implementation) model developed in this paper is based on the conceptual model of the ISO 19107 spatial schema' standard and consists of four topological primitives: node, edge, face, and volume, which are related to each other via their (co)boundary relationships. In our setting, only linear primitives (no curves) are supported and no isolated and dangling primitives are allowed. In our model, the rings, the shells, and the orientation play key roles within the topological structure and the functions that implement the geometrical realization. There was no formal definition of a valid 3D topological structure available and this paper presents such a definition, which is the main novel contribution. This definition is presented in three levels, where at every next level the definition is further refined such that finally a set of rules is proposed, which can be implemented unambiguously. In order to validate a 3D topological structure, the involved volumes must be valid as well as the whole structure, which means the relationships between the volumes. The rules for a valid structure have been implemented on top of Oracle Spatial and tested with artificial and real-world test data.
