[Termes IGN] Nouvelle-ZélandeRésumé : (Editeur) Careful analyses of institutional arrangements and operational-technical issues are essential for the creation of an onshore-offshore seamless cadastre and topographic information infrastructure in New Zealand. The integration of maritime infrastructure with the land geodetic datum and surveying system will be beneficial. Note de contenu : Part 3 MANAGEMENT ISSUES
a- Making the GIS effciient, effective and safe to use
b- Data as a manageement issue
c- GIS as a mangement tool
d- The impact of broad societal issues on GIS

[Termes IGN] infrastructure nationale des données localiséesRésumé : (Auteur) This paper addresses the state of spatial data infrastructures within North America in late 1997. After providing some barkgylaund underlying the philosophy and development of the SDI concept, the authors discuss effects of technology, institutions, and standardization that confront the cohesive implementation of a common infrastructure today. The paper concludes with a comparative framework and specific examples of elements and initiatives defining respective spatial data infrastruture initiatives in the United States and Canada.
