[Termes IGN] système de positionnement par satellitesIndex. décimale : 30.61 Systèmes de Positionnement par Satellites du GNSS Résumé : (Auteur) The navigation systems GPS and GLONASS were designed as military systems and have now reached an operational status. The civil component at GPS had an own self-driving development showing a high number of applications, most of them were realised. Ingenious developments from the civil user community resulted in a large improvement in accuracy. This process is continuing but may not compensate for the deficiencies of the systems for civil use. A future satellite navigation system shall counteract for these deficits. With this motivation first contracts on a ,,GIobal Naviga-tion Satellite System", funded by administrations, are mainly driven by political goals. In order to overcome these shortages, systematic methods were developed and used in conceptual analysis. Main emphasis was given to the space segment and the signal structure.
The simulation of different configurations of the space segment, changing the number of satellites, orbit inclination and the spatial arrangement, showed best results for availability and accuracy using a combination of 6 geostationary satel-lites, equally distributed along the equator plus 24 geosynchronous satellites with about 55° inclination. Increasing the number of satellites to 30, a small improvement in accuracy but a clear upgrading in integrity can be achieved. The geostationary satellites also provide additional services to the users.
Extending the code frequency to 10 MHz and correspondingly enlarging the code length improves the range resolution of the code signal. Also the multipath effect will be reduced by a large amount. Expanding the carrier frequency in the area of the X-Band shows an improvement for high accurate carrier phase measurements and also for TEC estimation, in order to compensate for ionospheric delay.
Using a two-way measurement system for orbit determination and time synchronisation of the onboard clock will further improve overall system accuracy. Applying the found system parameters in the design of a future civil GNSS an accuracy of the ,,User Equivalent Ranging Error" with 2.4m for the normal and 1.6m for the differential measurement can be realised. With a mean PDOP value of 1.8 the position accuracy will always be better than 5.Numéro de notice : 28024 Affiliation des auteurs : non IGN Thématique : POSITIONNEMENT Nature : Thèse étrangère Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=63371 Réservation
