[Termes IGN] TaïwanRésumé : (auteur) A total of 17 low-cost single-frequency L1 global positioning system (GPS) receivers with real-time internet transmission have been set up to intensify the pre-existing network of continuously operating reference stations (CORS) in southeastern Taiwan since 2008. The main objective of this study is to investigate the validity and uncertainty of the L1 stations in southeastern Taiwan. It is well known that the main error source of single-frequency GPS relative positioning in low latitude areas comes from an atmospheric delay, even if the relative distance is only a few kilometres. In this study, two methods of correction algorithms, including adopting local ionospheric models and applying correction terms from local CORS, are tested to estimate the long-period accuracy of station positioning. Our results indicate that the standard deviation of calibrated relative positioning is in a linear trend with respect to the baseline length. The derived positioning accuracies from applying correction terms from CORS provide satisfactory results with the linear ratios of standard deviation/baseline of 0·11±0·02, 0·12±0·02, 0·44±0·06 mm km–1 in the north, east and up component, respectively for relative distances under 30 km. The corresponding positioning scatterings amount to 3, 3 and 13 mm, in the north, east and up component, respectively. Although the use of a local ionospheric model algorithm can significantly reduce positioning variation, especially in the north component, the use of the correction terms method yields the best positioning results for three components, horizontal and vertical. [Termes IGN] surveillance géologiqueRésumé : (auteur) This paper presents a novel method for retrieving three-dimensional (3-D) displacement fields of mining areas from a single interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) pair. This method fully exploits the mechanism of mining subsidence, specifically the proportional relationship between the horizontal displacement and horizontal gradient of vertical displacements caused by underground mining. This method overcomes the limitations of conventional InSAR techniques that can only measure one-dimensional (1-D) deformation of mining area along the radar line-of-sight direction. The proposed method is first validated with simulated 3-D displacement fields, which are obtained by the FLAC3D software. The root mean square errors of the 3-D displacements retrieved by the proposed method are 13.7, 27.6 and 3.6 mm for the West–East, North–South, and Up–Down components, respectively. We then apply the proposed method to estimate the 3-D displacements of the Qianyingzi and the Xuzhou coal mines in China, respectively, each along with two Advanced Land Observing Satellite (ALOS) Phased Array Type L-band Synthetic Aperture Radar images. Results show that the estimated 3-D displacement is highly consistent with that of the field surveying. This demonstrates that the proposed method is an effective approach for retrieving 3-D mining displacement fields and will play an important role in mining-related hazard prevention and environment assessment under limited InSAR acquisitions. [Termes IGN] synchronisationRésumé : (auteur) Over the last decade, Unmanned Airbone Vehicles (UAVs) have been largely used for civil applications. Airborne photogrammetry has found place in these applications not only for 3D modeling but also as a measurement tool. Vinci-Construction-Terrassement is a private company specialized in public works sector and uses airborn photogrammetry as a mapping solution and metrology investigation tool on its sites. This technology is very efficient for the calculation of stock volumes for instance, or for time tracking of specific areas with risk of landslides. The aim of the present work is to perform a direct georeferencing of images acquired by the camera leaning on an embedded GPS receiver. UAV, GPS receiver and camera used are low-cost models and therefore data processing is adapted to this particular constraint. [Termes IGN] tectonique des plaquesRésumé : (auteur) Okinotorishima Island is the southern most island of Japan, located on the Philippine Sea plate. On the island, Geospatial Information Authority of Japan (GSI) set triangulation points and a GPS continuous observation station in 1989 and 2005, respectively, and has conducted GPS surveys since 1992 for surveying and crustal deformation monitoring. This report describes the displacement of Okinotorishima Island from 2005 to 2013 as a result of re-analyzing GPS data using GAMIT software. The displacement suggests that Okinotorishima Island has moved WNW at Vns = +21.6 mm/year and Vew = -58.0 mm/year, or moved N66.8°W at 61.9 mm/year. The rate of collection of data at the island is lower than that of the GSI’s other GNSS stations because the station is an extremely isolated island in the Pacific Ocean. In order to monitor the movement of Philippine Sea plate, it is necessary to continue the maintenance of observation devices and enhance the station’s data availability.
