[Termes IGN] téléphone intelligentRésumé : (auteur) Fine-scale population mapping is of great significance for capturing the spatial and temporal distribution of the urban population. Compared with traditional census data, population data obtained from mobile phone data has high availability and high real-time performance. However, the spatial distribution of base stations is uneven, and the service boundaries remain uncertain, which brings significant challenges to the accuracy of dasymetric population mapping. This paper proposes a Grid Voronoi method to provide reliable spatial boundaries for base stations and to build a subsequent regression based on mobile phone and building use data. The results show that the Grid Voronoi method gives high fitness in building use regression, and further comparison between the traditional ordinary least squares (OLS) regression model and geographically weighted regression (GWR) model indicates that the building use data can well reflect the heterogeneity of urban geographic space. This method provides a relatively convenient and reliable idea for capturing high-precision population distribution, based on mobile phone and building use data. [Termes IGN] trajectoire (véhicule non spatial)Résumé : (auteur) A positioning approach combining satellite measurements with a map representing the ground-truth trajectory is developed with the main objective of improving the availability of solutions for a mobile vehicle. For the positioning model, the Precise Point Positioning (PPP) technique is augmented with an alternative map-matching to find a probable space where the true vehicle or platform position is located. Then, by using a selection criterion based on the precise carrier phase residuals, the best candidate position within the space can be determined. This process provides an accurate initial position to the PPP filter, different from the standard PPP approach that relies on a point position using the less accurate pseudorange observables. A controlled experiment of a mobile receiver navigating over a pre-defined trajectory was conducted. The results show that the approach offers an instantaneous initial convergence, eliminating the re-convergences during two GNSS obstructions of 32 and 17 seconds, while constantly keeping the solution on the correct trajectory, even when tracking 3 to 2 satellites. This approach outperforms the standard PPP and RTK solutions in terms of convergences and re-convergences. These results are corroborated when comparing the average and standard deviation of residuals to the standard PPP model. For the pseudorange residuals, improvements of 17.5 cm and 24.3 cm in the average and standard deviation respectively were achieved. The carrier phase residuals standard deviation of the proposed approach was 3 cm better than that of the standard PPP. [Termes IGN] ville intelligenteRésumé : (auteur) Natural disasters such as flooding, wildfires, and mudslides are rare events, but they affect citizens at unpredictable times and the impact on human life can be significant. Citizens located close to events can provide detailed, real-time data streams capturing their event response. Instead of visualizing individual updates, an integrated spatiotemporal map yields ‘big picture’ event information. We investigate the question of whether information from affected citizens is sufficient to generate a map of an unfolding natural disaster. We built the Citizen Disaster Reaction Multi-Agent Simulation (CDR-MAS), a multi-agent system that simulates the reaction of citizens to a natural disaster in an urban region. We proposed an rkNN classification algorithm to aggregate the update streams into a series of colored Voronoi event maps. We simulated the 2018 Montecito Creek mudslide and customized the CDR-MAS with the local environment to systematically generate stream data sets. Our experimental evaluation showed that event mapping based on citizen update streams is significantly influenced by the amount of citizen participation and movement. Compared with a baseline of 100% participation, with 40% citizen participation, the event region was predicted with 40% accuracy, showing that citizen update streams can provide timely information in a smart city. [Termes IGN] représentation spatio-sémantiqueRésumé : (auteur) We propose a navigation model for indoor environments that combines a 3D geometric modeling of buildings with connection properties of spaces and semantic elements such as openings and installations. The model is an extension of the IndoorGML standard navigation module with a twofold benefit: the extension facilitated the data import from the international standard CityGML and introduced the semantics of various fixtures in indoor space of buildings making the navigation model more suitable for human needs. Several experiments have been conducted by extracting networks from CityGML data and performing a comparison with other network construction techniques. The second contribution of the paper is an algorithm for the automatic extraction of the navigation network. Such an algorithm is a hybrid solution between medial axis approaches and visibility graph approaches. Normally, medial axes approaches are a good representation of human navigation in narrow corridors, especially to avoid obstacles, but introduce distortions in open space. On the other hand, visibility approaches work better in open spaces. In our extraction technique, the resulting network takes advantages of both approaches and better mimics human beings’ navigation in indoor environments. [Termes IGN] triangulation de DelaunayRésumé : (auteur) Voronoi tessellation, and its dual the Delaunay triangulation, provide a cohesive framework for the study and interpretation of phenomena of geographical space in two and three dimensions. The planar and spherical solutions introduce errors in the positional accuracy of both Voronoi vertices and Voronoi edges due to errors in distance computations and the path connecting two locations with planar lines or great circle arcs instead of geodesics. For most geospatial applications the introduction of the above errors is insignificant or tolerable. However, for applications where the accuracy is of utmost importance, the ellipsoidal model of the Earth must be used. Characteristically, the introduction of any positional error in the delimitation of maritime zones and boundaries results in increased maritime space for one state at the expense of another. This is a situation that may, among others, have a serious impact on the financial activities and the relations of the states concerned. In the context of previous work on maritime delimitation we show that the Voronoi diagram constitutes the ideal solution for the development of an automated methodology addressing the problem in its entirety. Due to lack of a vector methodology for the generation of Voronoi diagram on the ellipsoid, the aforementioned solution was constrained by the accuracy of existing approaches. In order to fill this gap, in this paper we deal with the inherent attributes of the ellipsoidal model of the Earth, e.g. the fact that geodesics are open lines, and we elaborate on a methodology for the generation of the Voronoi diagram on the ellipsoid for a set of points in vector format. The resulting Voronoi diagram consists of vertices with positional accuracy that is only bounded by the user needs and edges that are comprised of geodesics densified with vertices equidistant to their generators. Finally, we present the implementation of the proposed algorithm in the Python programming language and the results of two case studies, one on the formation of closest service areas and one on maritime boundaries delimitation, with the positional accuracy set to 1 cm.
