For synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images, inherent speckle noise of the images can lead to false changed points, which affects the change detection performance. Besides, the supervised classifier in change detection framework requires numerous training samples, which are generally obtained by manual labeling. In this paper, a novel unsupervised method named saliency-guided deep neural networks (SGDNNs) is proposed for SAR image change detection. In the proposed method, to weaken the influence of speckle noise, a salient region that probably belongs to the changed object is extracted from the difference image. To obtain pseudotraining samples automatically, hierarchical fuzzy C-means (HFCM) clustering is developed to select samples with higher probabilities to be changed and unchanged. Moreover, to enhance the discrimination of sample features, DNNs based on the nonnegative- and Fisher-constrained autoencoder are applied for final detection. Experimental results on five real SAR data sets demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. [Termes IGN] transformation de FourierRésumé : (auteur) Interferogram filtering for noise reduction is a key to many radar interferometric applications. Repeat pass radar interferometry often uses data with less than ideal correlation levels resulting from either long spatial or temporal baselines or changes between observations leading to high levels of temporal correlation. To maximize the utility of such pairs filtering the interferogram to get maximal noise reduction is often needed. One technique that has proved quite useful in the geophysical community is power spectral or Goldstein–Werner filtering of the interferogram whereby a power-weighted version of the Fourier transform is used to enhance fringe visibility. Although this paper defining the filter briefly touched upon the spatial resolution and noise reduction induced by the filter, it did not provide a useful formula for predicting the phase noise after filtering. This paper derives a formula for the phase noise obtained from power spectral filtering albeit under the restriction of several simplifying assumptions to make the problem analytically tractable. In particular, it is assumed that the interferometric phase is locally well approximated by a linear phase ramp with nonlinear phase perturbations small in a spectral energy sense compared to the linear term. [Termes IGN] série temporelleRésumé : (Auteur) A large number of time-series of monthly gravity fields derived from GRACE data provide users with a wealth of information on mass transport processes in the system Earth. The users are, however, left alone with the decision which time-series to analyze. Following the example of other well-known combination services provided by the geodetic community, the prototype of a combination service has been developed within the frame of the project EGSIEM (2015–2017) to combine the different time-series with the goal to provide a unique and superior product to the user community. Four associated analysis centers (ACs) of EGSIEM, namely AIUB, GFZ, GRGS and IfG, generated monthly gravity fields which were then combined using the different normal equations (NEQs). But the relative weights determined by variance component estimation (VCE) on the NEQ level do not lead to an optimal combined product due to the different processing strategies applied by the individual ACs. We therefore resort to VCE on the solution level to derive relative weights that are representative of the noise levels of the individual solutions. These weights are then applied in the combination on the NEQ level. Prior to combination, empirical scaling factors that are based on pairwise combinations of NEQs are derived to balance the impact of the NEQs on the combined solution. We compare the processing approaches of the different ACs and introduce quality measures derived either from the differences w.r.t. the monthly means of the individual gravity fields or w.r.t. a deterministic signal model. After combination, the gravity fields are validated by comparison to the official GRACE SDS RL05 time-series and the individual contributions of the associated ACs in the spectral and the spatial domain. While the combined gravity fields are comparable in signal strength to the individual time-series, they stand out by their low noise level. In terms of noise, they are in 90% of all months as good or better than the best individual contribution from IfG and significantly less noisy than the official GRACE SDS RL05 time-series. [Termes IGN] TurquieRésumé : (Auteur) A light detection and ranging (lidar) system is one of the most important technologies used for generating digital terrain models (DTMs). The point cloud data obtained by these systems consist of data gathered from ground and nonground features. To create a DTM with high resolution and accuracy, ground and nonground data must be separated. Numerous filtering algorithms have been developed for this purpose. The aim of this study was testing the filtering performance of six different filtering algorithms in four different test areas with different land cover were selected that had topographical features and characteristics. The algorithms were adaptive triangulated irregular network (ATIN), elevation threshold with an expand window (ETEW), maximum local slope (MLS), progressive morphology (PM), iterative polynomial fitting (IPF), and multiscale curvature classification (MCC) algorithms. In the results, all the filters performed well on a smooth surface and produced more errors in complex urban areas and rough terrain with dense vegetation. The IPF filtering algorithm generated the best results for the first three test areas (smooth landscape, urban areas and agricultural areas), while ETEW performed best in the fourth test area (steep areas with dense vegetation and infrastructure).
