[Termes IGN] simple différenceRésumé : (auteur) We develop a new integrated navigation system, which integrates GPS precise point positioning (PPP) with low-cost micro-electro-mechanical sensors (MEMS) inertial system, for precise positioning applications. Currently, most common GPS PPP techniques employ undifferenced ionosphere-free (IF) linear combination. In this work, both undifferenced and between-satellite single-difference (BSSD) IF linear combinations of pseudorange and carrier measurements are considered. IGS precise orbital and clock products are used to correct for satellite orbit and clock errors. Rigorous models are used to account for tropospheric delay, ocean loading, earth tide, carrier phase windup, relativity and satellite antenna phase-center variations. To integrate GPS PPP and MEMS-based inertial systems, the process and measurement models are developed. Tightly coupled mechanization is adopted, which is carried out in the raw measurements domain. Extended Kalman filter is developed to merge the corrected GPS satellite difference observations and inertial measurements and estimate inertial measurements biases and errors. A atlab-based computer program is developed to carry out the tightly coupled integration. The performance of the proposed integrated system is analyzed using a real test situation. It is shown that decimeter-level positioning accuracy is achievable with both undifferenced and BSSD integrated systems. However, in general, better positioning accuracy is obtained with BSSD integrated system. [Termes IGN] trafic routierRésumé : (auteur) Monitoring vehicular road traffic is a key component of any autonomous driving platform. Detecting moving objects, and tracking them, is crucial to navigating around objects and predicting their locations and trajectories. Laser sensors provide an excellent observation of the area around vehicles, but the point cloud of objects may be noisy, occluded, and prone to different errors. Consequently, object tracking is an open problem, especially for low-quality point clouds. This paper describes a pipeline to integrate various sensor data and prior information, such as a Geospatial Information System (GIS) map, to segment and track moving objects in a scene. We show that even a low-quality GIS map, such as OpenStreetMap (OSM), can improve the tracking accuracy, as well as decrease processing time. A bank of Kalman filters is used to track moving objects in a scene. In addition, we apply non-holonomic constraint to provide a better orientation estimation of moving objects. The results show that moving objects can be correctly detected, and accurately tracked, over time, based on modest quality Light Detection And Ranging (LiDAR) data, a coarse GIS map, and a fairly accurate Global Positioning System (GPS) and Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) navigation solution. [Termes IGN] série temporelleRésumé : (Auteur) The directional variation of land surface reflectance generates an apparent noise in the time series acquired from satellites with variable observation geometries, which can be corrected through appropriate modeling of the bidirectional reflectance distribution function (BRDF). In a previous paper, we described and validated the VJB method that estimates a target BRDF shape and corrects for directional effects and yet retains the high temporal resolution of the measurement. Here, we analyze its potential to measure the BRDF of targets at the 0.5-km resolution of Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS). The description of the BRDF in the NASA MCD43A1 product shows very large temporal variations that are unrealistic. However, the reflectance time series, normalized to a standard observation geometry using this modeling, have a similar quality as those derived using VJB. Conversely, the MCD43A1 modeled reflectances for a nonstandard geometry are unrealistically variable. These results indicate that the standard BRDF model inversion used to derive the MCD43A1 product is underconstrained due to the limited directional sampling of the 16-day composite period. The apparent noise in the corrected reflectance time series is significantly larger than the one obtained at lower spatial resolution, and is very much a function of the spatial heterogeneity of the area surrounding the target. These results strongly indicate that the multitemporal MODIS measurement at high spatial resolution (0.5 km) is affected by a change in the effective resolution for off-nadir observation and by inaccurate registration. The resulting noise in the measurements precludes an accurate measurement of the BRDF at such a scale. It is proposed that by reducing the effects of multipath and noise on the pseudorange observable, accurate estimates of carrier phase float ambiguities will be attained sooner, thus reducing the initial convergence period of PPP. Given the problem, this study seeks to improve mitigation of the pseudorange errors. The well-known multipath linear combination is used in two distinct ways: (1) to directly correct the raw pseudorange observables and (2) to stochastically de-weight the pseudorange observables. The improvements in the solution were calculated with respect to the conventional GPS PPP float solution, where the raw pseudorange observables were not modified or stochastically de-weighted. Corrections to the observables were made using the multipath linear combination from data obtained from the previous and same day. Minimal improvements were noted using the multipath observable from the previous day. Using the multipath observable from the same day was possible in real-time and post-processing modes, showing an improvement in the rate of convergence for 48 and 57 % of the data, respectively. An improvement in the rate of convergence for 34 % of the data was observed when the pseudorange measurements were stochastically de-weighted using the multipath observable. Datasets with no improvements from directly correcting the raw pseudorange observables (43 %) or stochastically de-weighting the pseudorange observables (66 %) presented similar quality of results as the conventional PPP solution. [Termes IGN] méthode fondée sur le noyauRésumé : (Auteur) Noise contamination is a ubiquitous problem in hyperspectral images (HSIs), which is a challenging and promising theme in many remote sensing applications. A large number of methods have been proposed to remove noise. Unfortunately, most denoising methods fail to take full advantages of the high spectral correlation and to simultaneously consider the specific noise distributions in HSIs. Recently, a spectral-spatial adaptive hyperspectral total variation (SSAHTV) was proposed and obtained promising results. However, the SSAHTV model is insensitive to the image details, which makes the edges blur. To overcome all of these drawbacks, a spectral-spatial kernel method for HSI denoising is proposed in this paper. The proposed method is inspired by the observation that the spectral-spatial information is highly redundant in HSIs, which is sufficient to estimate the clear images. In this paper, a spectral-spatial kernel regularization is proposed to maintain the spectral correlations in spectral dimension and to match the original structure between two spatial dimensions. Moreover, an adaptive mechanism is developed to balance the fidelity term according to different noise distributions in each band. Therefore, it cannot only suppress noise in the high-noise band but also preserve information in the low-noise band. The reliability of the proposed method in removing noise is experimentally proved on both simulated data and real data.
