The sensitivity analysis for the determination of orbit corrections is performed by means of redundancy decomposition of stochastic a priori information.
With regard to the modelling of the GPS phase observations investigations of the datum definition in the satellite geodesy are carried out. A meaningful result of this investigations is that the z-component of the geocentre is defined only by the orbit disturbations mainly caused by the flattening of the Earth whereas the x- and y-component of the geocentre are defined additionally by the Earth rotation. Therefore the determination of the z-component is especially dependent on the satellite height. With GPS satellites the x- and y-component of the origin is determined three orders better than the z-component.
Starting with the observation equations for the GPS phase measurements a method for a more reliable estimation of the integer ambiguities is presented. The method based on the use of ambiguity-matrizes and a reduction of the rest-ambiguities (differences to the integer values). Furthermore a spectral representation for range or range rate measurements to satellites is performed. This method is favourable for a model analysis and the interpretation of the adjustment results.
The stability analysis for the determination of short-arc orbit corrections is performed with simulated GPS phase data and real observations in a GPS network of Berlin. In this context, different factors of influence are discussed : - size of the network - definition of the reference frame - period of the observation session - number of observation days - free / fixed ambiguities.
Regarding the determination of coordinates from GPS phase data at stations forming a network the definition of the datum is analysed. Concerning the stability of the short-arc orbit corrections and the estimation of integer ambiguities the well-known two different concepts are considered : 1- free network based on conditions defining a datum ; 2- observations at stations with known coordinates (fiducial point concept).
The fiducial point concept will give the most stable results. On the other hand errors in the coordinates of the fiducial points lead to constraints and to systematic errors in the adjustment results. Therefore it will be recommended to use a priori information for the coordinates of the fiducial points and to check the quality by means of reliability criteria.Numéro de notice : 60654 Affiliation des auteurs : non IGN Thématique : POSITIONNEMENT Nature : Thèse étrangère Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=60782 Réservation

This is directed towards the Earth Deformation Studies (EDS) programme in New Zealand. The terrestrial, GPS, and deformation adjustment models are investigated. It is found that the parameters of vertical homogeneous strain are not well determined and that their estimation leads to difficulty in the interpretation of other deformation parameters. It is demonstrated that a 2D adjustment of triangulation data is suitable for combination with GPS for the estimation of horizontal strain but that a 3D adjustment is required for best results when EDM distances are included in the terrestrial data set.
The GPS adjustment model is studied in detail, particularly some of the principal systematic errors (orbits, propagation delays and origin station coordinates). Simulations of GPS observation campaigns are used with errors rigorously propagated through to deformation parameters using the techniques of covariance analysis. The Kalman filter algorithm is employed as a means of dealing with dynamic variables and the equations of covariance analysis are developed in the Kalman filter setting. Strategies for selecting satellite and network geometry are compared using simulations. The effect of ambiguity resolution on deformation parameters is studied in detail. It is shown that the effect of tropospheric delay errors may be substantially reduced by estimation of residual zenith tropospheric delays. Where the tropospheric delay is time dependent, the Kaiman filter algorithm gives optimum results. Orbit estimation is studied using a simulated regional tracking station network and is found to significantly improve the accuracy of deformation parameter estimates. With dual frequency observations, and the estimation of tropospheric delay and orbit parameters, the effect of GPS systematic errors is insignificant compared to that of terrestrial observation errors.Numéro de notice : 63095 Affiliation des auteurs : non IGN Thématique : POSITIONNEMENT Nature : Monographie Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=61178 Réservation
