[Termes IGN] orthophotoplan numériqueRésumé : (auteur) With the rapid development of sensor manufacturing technology, high spatial resolution (HR) images are becoming more easily acquired and more widely used. However, it is common that a region of interest (ROI) cannot be completely acquired from a single image. Image mosaicking can resolve the problem by creating a new large-area image from multiple images with overlapping areas. A typical mosaicking procedure for HR remote sensing images includes three successive steps: tonal adjustment, seamline detection, and image blending. In this paper, we propose a robust mosaicking procedure featuring novel ideas in all three steps, which is aimed at processing HR remote sensing images of urban areas. Firstly, the tonal adjustment is realized by a local moment matching (LMM) algorithm, which solves the nonlinear photometric correlation problem between adjacent images. Secondly, an automatic piecewise dynamic program (APDP) algorithm for seamline detection is proposed to detect the optimal seamline on the overlapped area. Last but not least, we propose a cosine distance weighted blending (CDWB) method to ensure that the seamline is as invisible as possible. Compared to the state-of-the-art methods, the proposed method was proved to be effective in experiments with high resolution aerial and satellite images.

[Termes IGN] précision des donnéesRésumé : (auteur) We present a first assessment of UAS-derived orthoimagery and digital elevation data in the context of newly-released accuracy standards for digital geospatial data developed by the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing. We outline results from two case studies using a commercially-available UAS, photogrammetry software, and an array of ground control and check points. Radial horizontal and vertical root-meansquare- errors (RMSE) were calculated as 0.05 m and 0.06 m, respectively, for one site, and 0.08 m and 0.03 m, respectively, for the other. Under the 1990 ASPRS standards, both surveys meet the requirements for Class 1 accuracy at the 1:500 map scale and at the 0.50 m contour interval. Under the newly-developed ASPRS standards, the reported errors fulfill the requirements for both horizontal and vertical mapping at the 10 cm RMSE level. Overall, these results provide initial direction for practitioners considering UAS surveying in the context of accuracy standards Numéro de notice : A2015-989 Affiliation des auteurs : non IGN Thématique : IMAGERIE Nature : Article DOI : 10.14358/PERS.81.10.787 En ligne : https://doi.org/10.14358/PERS.81.10.787 Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=80270

[Termes IGN] reliefRésumé : (Auteur) In the present study, satellite-based mapping and morphogenetic analysis of eastern part of Tripura has been attempted. Landforms are delineated based on conjugate analysis of satellite-imaged and satellite-derived digital elevation data. Further, landforms were classified based on hierarchical three-tier classification system where genesis is used as a criteria to classify the landforms in the first level followed by nature of their dissection and the geometric forms of the landform in second and third level, respectively. During the analysis, it has been observed that most of the landforms are structural in origin and their orientations are guided by the geological lineaments although the variations in the dissection pattern of the landforms are related to the changes in the underlying lithology. The implementation of quantitative analysis using hypsometric integral and ruggedness index of geomorphic parameters indicates that the landforms are immature but have been evolving towards maturity.
