[Termes IGN] système d'information géographiqueRésumé : (Auteur) Daily solar radiation estimates of four up-to-date solar radiation models (Solar Analyst, r.sun, SRAD and Solei-32), based on a digital elevation model (DEM), have been evaluated and compared in a Mediterranean environment characterized by a complex topography. The models' estimates were evaluated against 40 days of radiometric data collected in 14 stations. Analyzed sky conditions ranged from completely overcast conditions to clear skies. Additionally, the role of the spatial resolution of the DEM has been evaluated through the use of two different resolutions: 20 and 100 m. Results showed that, under clear-sky conditions, the daily solar radiation variability in the study area may be reasonably estimated with mean bias errors under 10% and root mean square error values of around 15%. On the other hand, results proved that the reliability of the estimates substantially decreases under overcast conditions for some of the solar radiation models. Regarding the role of the DEM spatial resolution, results suggested that the reliability of the estimates for complex topography areas under clear-sky conditions improves using a higher spatial resolution. [Termes IGN] vue perspectiveRésumé : (Auteur) An augmented scene delivery system (ASDS) creates and distributes annotated cartographic products in real time from captured still imagery. An ASDS applies augmented reality technology to the visualization of unrestricted exterior viewsheds through an adaptive, perspective-based surface resampling model. This paper describes an ASDS testing platform, introduces a client/server model for distributing augmented scenes over the Internet, presents a linear-time algorithm for resampling dense elevation models for perspective imaging and conducts an execution analysis of the algorithm's implementation, demonstrating that augmented scenes can be constructed and delivered efficiently. The paper also presents a migration path to mobile ASDS platforms with a discussion of the remaining technological problems associated with its implementation. [Termes IGN] Sao PauloRésumé : (Auteur) A high orthomosaic was generated for the 800 km area of the country of Campinas, Brazil, derived from Ikonos satellite imagery, a Digital Terrain model (DTM) generated from WorldView-1 satellite imagery, and an implemented geodetic network of 19 points. The final orthomosaic was generated both in normal color and in false color infrared in order to broaden the possible applications to environmental issues. This result represents a very interesting solution to cover large areas in short time and with a lower cost than traditional aerophotogrammetric methods, thus with basically the same quality, allowing for a better assertive planning and sustainable development of the territory. [Termes IGN] problème des valeurs limitesRésumé : (Auteur) A model of the gravity gradient tensor at aircraft altitude is developed from the combination of ground gravity anomaly data and a digital elevation model. The gravity data are processed according to various operational solutions to the boundary-value problem (numerical integration of Stokes’ integral, radial-basis splines, and least-squares collocation). The terrain elevation data are used to reduce free-air anomalies to the geoid and to compute a corresponding indirect effect on the gradients at altitude. We compare the various modeled gradients to airborne gradiometric data and find differences of the order of 10–20 E (SD) for all gradient tensor elements. Our analysis of these differences leads to a conclusion that their source may be primarily measurement error in these particular gradient data. We have thus demonstrated the procedures and the utility of combining ground gravity and elevation data to validate airborne gradiometer systems.
