[Termes IGN] semis de pointsRésumé : (auteur) The performance of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and Inertial Navigation System (INS) integrated navigation can be severely degraded in urban canyons due to the non-line-of-sight (NLOS) signals and multipath effects. Therefore, to achieve a high-precision and robust integrated system, real-time fault detection and localization algorithms are needed to ensure integrity. Currently, the residual chi-square test is used for fault detection in the positioning domain, but it has poor sensitivity when faults disappear. Three-dimensional (3D) light detection and ranging (LiDAR) has good positioning performance in complex environments. First, a LiDAR aided real-time fault detection algorithm is proposed. A test statistic is constructed by the mean deviation of the matched targets, and a dynamic threshold is constructed by a sliding window. Second, to solve the problem that measurement noise is estimated by prior modeling with a certain error, a LiDAR aided real-time measurement noise estimation based on adaptive filter localization algorithm is proposed according to the position deviations of matched targets. Finally, the integrity of the integrated system is assessed. The error bound of integrated positioning is innovatively verified with real test data. We conduct two experiments with a vehicle going through a viaduct and a floor hole, which, represent mid and deep urban canyons, respectively. The experimental results show that in terms of fault detection, the fault could be detected in mid urban canyons and the response time of fault disappearance is reduced by 70.24% in deep urban canyons. Thus, the poor sensitivity of the residual chi-square test for fault disappearance is improved. In terms of localization, the proposed algorithm is compared with the optimal fading factor adaptive filter (OFFAF) and the extended Kalman filter (EKF). The proposed algorithm is the most effective, and the Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) in the east and north is reduced by 12.98% and 35.1% in deep urban canyons. Regarding integrity assessment, the error bound can overbound the positioning errors in deep urban canyons relative to the EKF and the mean value of the error bounds is reduced. [Termes IGN] zone urbaineRésumé : (auteur) This paper proposes a method for electric vehicle charging station (EVCS) placement problem at the directional road segment (DRS) level for large urban road networks, which integrates a multi-criteria decision-making model with a new map matching technique called “segment-wise matching based on MRI”. The charging demand of DRS is estimated based on a novel prediction method which considers the arrival trips and the variation of charging demand for different trip purposes. Traffic attributes, charging demand attributes, and land price are incorporated into the TOPSIS model to determine the optimal EVCS placement. Finally, the proposed method is demonstrated using the road network of Xi'an in China as a case study. The results show the proposed method can be well applied to the EVCS placement problem at the DRS level for large-scale urban road networks. It is found that EVCS installation potentials of road segments approximately follow a normal distribution. The road segments with a high installation potential exhibit regional clustering characteristics due to the level of well-developed land use in the surrounding area. Sensitivity analyses suggest that it is important to include multiple criteria for modeling the EVCS placement problem and that traffic speed and arrival trips are key factors. As a case study, the integrated model was tested on 1097 daily traffic collisions data of Karaj-Qazvin freeway from 2009 to 2013 and the results were compared with the conventional ANN prediction model. In this method, initially, the raw collision data were analyzed, normalized, and classified via Geographical Information System (GIS). Partial Autocorrelation Function (PACF) was also utilized to evaluate the temporal autocorrelation for consecutive existing daily data. The results of this study showed that the proposed integrated DWT-ANN method provided higher predictive accuracy in daily traffic collision than ANN model by increasing coefficient of determination (R2) from 0.66 to 0.82. [Termes IGN] urbanismeRésumé : (auteur) Modelling and visualization of three-dimensional (3D) models for cities is a great challenge for computer software and graphics. Recently, 3D city modelling has grown due to advances in applications accompanying the information technology revolution. 3D Geographic Information Systems (3D-GIS) have evolved enormously due to the availability of large-scale 3D modelling techniques. These technologies have become very important in representing large cities and conducting various analyses in the city’s virtual environment to support urban decision-making. CityEngine is one of the most recent 3D-GIS modelling applications. CityEngine can be described as parametric modelling using Procedural Modelling (PM) to create 3D urban elements through macros and routines. This paper highlights the importance of 3D Procedural Modelling (PM) of cities in the GIS environment using ESRI CityEngine and presents a parametric concept for designing urban spaces. This issue has been addressed in three respects. First, discuss the concept and strength of parametric design. Second, the concept of procedural modelling and its power to generate complex 3D models using a set of rules is discussed. Finally, CityEngine was evaluated through a real-world case study of a neighbourhood in the new city of Beni-Suef, Egypt. The results confirm the effectiveness of CityEngine as a 3D-GIS modelling software that generates dynamic 3D models from 2D spatial data. While the results are promising, it is important to investigate more complex cases. The CityEngine modelling approach enables comprehensive urban analyses such as sequence vision, façade studies, urban fabric and character, and statistical operations based on attribute database. [Termes IGN] texture d'imageRésumé : (auteur) We present a new method to create spatial data using a generative adversarial network (GAN). Our contribution uses coarse and widely available geospatial data to create maps of less available features at the finer scale in the built environment, bypassing their traditional acquisition techniques (e.g. satellite imagery or land surveying). In the work, we employ land use data and road networks as input to generate building footprints and conduct experiments in 9 cities around the world. The method, which we implement in a tool we release openly, enables the translation of one geospatial dataset to another with high fidelity and morphological accuracy. It may be especially useful in locations missing detailed and high-resolution data and those that are mapped with uncertain or heterogeneous quality, such as much of OpenStreetMap. The quality of the results is influenced by the urban form and scale. In most cases, the experiments suggest promising performance as the method tends to truthfully indicate the locations, amount, and shape of buildings. The work has the potential to support several applications, such as energy, climate, and urban morphology studies in areas previously lacking required data or inpainting geospatial data in regions with incomplete data.
