[Termes IGN] vulnérabilitéRésumé : (Auteur) This paper deals with a tentative proposal for the development of a monitoring framework in order to evaluate the vulnerability of a cultural site with respect to various types of hazards. The ultimate purpose of the research is to protect and conserve cultural heritage. In our paper, we investigate procedures for monitoring the long-term behavior of a cultural landscape in order to determine the most appropriate one to deal with such probable natural hazards as seismic events, volcanic eruptions, soil liquefaction, landslides, tsunami, and flooding. [Termes IGN] traitement d'imageRésumé : (Auteur) The recording of digital heritage for posterity and its long term preservation is a burning issue. An event was organised to tackle it. From february 16th -22nd 2009 a series of workshops took place at Truro College (University of Plymouth Colleges), Cornwall, UK. Representatives focused on the application and use of digital technologies within the cultural heritage sector. This article outlines ideas raised and discussed throughout the week, summaries the worshops that took place and concludes with a general overview of the current climate for the digital preservation of cultural heritage. Note de contenu : 1. [Termes IGN] VeniseRésumé : (Auteur) In architectural and cultural heritage documentation, laser scanning technology today offers several opportunities to approach the object to study and to extract manifold information levels from it. These account for point-clouds, 3-D models, and other data about the state of conservation. Georeferenced point-clouds can be adopted as the spatial framework of a Space Information System for Architecture, integrating all spatial information acquired by TLS, photogrammetry, geodetic surveying and direct survey, but also from other investigation techniques (e.g. GPR, thermal cameras, etc.). Such information system allows to make assessments that are important for the classification of structural elements or for the determination of the state of decay or preservation of each architectural element. With reference to the survey of two wooden domes of San Marco Basilica in Venice (Italy), the completion of the 3-D model of their complex structure is presented here through the description of its main stages, i.e. data acquisition, registration and modelling. The final 3-D model is then assumed as a 3-D database which clarifies the shape, the composition, the state of conservation and the structural function of the wooden beams of the domes.
