[Termes IGN] séismeRésumé : (auteur) GNSS observation over the area of the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake (April 14-16, 2016) reveals coseismic deformations of over 10 centimeters caused by the two large foreshocks and of ~ 1 meter caused by the mainshock as well as a postseismic deformation of up to a few centimeters. Large displacements are concentrated around Futagawa-Hinagu fault zone which is a known active fault in Kyushu Island. Kinematic positioning results imply the two large foreshocks initiated a rupture on the northern part of the Hinagu fault segment, then a rupture neighboring the southern part of the segment. The postseismic deformations that followed seem to be similar to the pattern of coseismic deformation, however, they are widely distributed. The sequence of earthquakes caused significant distortion in the Japanese geodetic datum around the focal area, but GEONET observation enabled a rapid response. Furthermore, it is believed the observation data provided by GEONET will make a significant contribution to understand the fault property along the active fault zone. [Termes IGN] vapeur d'eauRésumé : (auteur) Although Global Positioning System (GPS) primarily provide accurate estimates of position, velocity and time of the receiver, as the signals pass through the atmoshphere carrying its signatures, thus offers opportunities for atmoshpheric applications. Precipitable water vapor (PWV) is a vital component of the atmosphere and significantly influences atmospheric processes like rainfall and atmospheric temperature. The developing networks of continuously operating GPS can be used to efficiently estimate PWV. The Turkish Permanent GPS Network (TPGN) is employed to monitor PWV information in Turkey. This work primarily aims to derive long-term data of PWV by using atmospheric path delays observed through continuously operating TPGN from November 2014 to October 2015. A least square mathematical approach was then applied to establish the relation of the observed PWV to rainfall and temperature. The modeled PWV was correlated with PWV estimated from GPS data, with an average correlation of 67.10 %–88.60 %. The estimated root mean square error (RMSE) varied from 2.840 to 6.380, with an average of 4.697. Finally, data of TPGN, rainfall, and temperature were obtained for less than 2 months (November 2015 to December 2015) and assessed to validate the mathematical model. This study provides a basis for determining PWV by using rainfall and temperature data. [Termes IGN] précision des donnéesRésumé : (Auteur) The objective of research concerned verifying the accuracy of the location and shape of selected lakes presented on topographical maps from various periods, drawn up on different scales. The area of research covered lakes situated in North-Western Poland on the Międzychód-Sieraków Lakeland. An analysis was performed of vector maps available in both analogue and digital format. The scales of these studies range from 1:50 000 to 1:10 000. The source materials were current for the years 1907 through 2013. The shape and location of lakes have been verified directly by means of field measurements performed using the GPS technology with an accuracy class of RTK. An analysis was performed of the location and shape of five lakes. The analysed water regions were vectorised, and their vector images were used to determine quantitative features: the area and length of the shoreline. Information concerning the analysed lakes obtained from the maps was verified on the basis of direct field measurements performed using a GPS RTK receiver. Use was made of georeferential corrections provided by the NAVGEO service or a virtual reference station generated by the ASG EUPOS system. A compilation of cartographic and field data formed the basis for a comparison of the actual area and the length of the shoreline of the studied lakes. Cartographic analyses made it possible to single out the most reliable cartographic sources, which could be used for the purposes of hydrographical analyses. The course of shorelines shows the attached map.
