[Termes IGN] résolution d'ambiguïtéRésumé : (Auteur) Integer ambiguity fixing can significantly shorten the initialization time and improve the accuracy of precise point positioning (PPP), but it still takes approximate 15 min of time to achieve reliable integer ambiguity solutions. In this contribution, we present a new strategy to augment PPP estimation with a regional reference network, so that instantaneous ambiguity fixing is achievable for users within the network coverage. In the proposed method, precise zero-differenced atmospheric delays are derived from the PPP fixed solution of the reference stations, which are disseminated to, and interpolated at user stations to correct for L1, L2 phase observations or their combinations. With the corrected observations, instantaneous ambiguity resolution can be carried out within the user PPP software, thus achieving the position solutions equivalent to the network real-time kinematic positioning (NRTK). The strategy is validated experimentally. The derived atmospheric delays and the interpolated corrections are investigated. The ambiguity fixing performance and the resulted position accuracy are assessed. The validation confirms that the new strategy can provide comparable service with NRTK. Therefore, with this new processing strategy, it is possible to integrate PPP and NRTK into a seamless positioning service, which can provide an accuracy of about 10 cm anywhere, and upgrade to a few centimeters within a regional network. [Termes IGN] réseau permanent EUREFRésumé : (Auteur) The EUREF Permanent Network EPN is permanently analyzed by different analysis centers in order to density the international reference frame ITRF and in order to monitor the European reference frame ETRF. Furthermore, the different European countries adopted realizations of the ETRF in the past years and decades. The described project of the EUREF technical working group (TWG) shows for a sub-set of 14 European countries, how homogeneous the different national reference frames are realized compared to a consistently computed multi-annual solution published by EUREF in Dec., 2008. A collection of all officially used national ETRF coordinates for the EPN stations and its publication on the EPN web pages is a by-product of this project. [Termes IGN] station permanenteRésumé : (Auteur) This paper summarizes the effect of various noises on GEONET height times series and demonstrates how the state-of-art analysis technique can improve its quality with the results evaluated by simulations and actual observations. Three factors that may affect the GPS-derived height time series are investigated: 1) mismodeling of atmospheric delays; 2) load deformation by the atmosphere; and 3) load deformation by the ocean. It is found that : 1) the use of the conventional mapping functions that are used in the current GEONET routine analysis may introduce spurious annual height variations up to 3 mm, and these spurious signals can be considerably mitigated with the use of mapping functions based on numerical weather models; 2) annual height variations caused by the atmospheric loading are up to 3 mm ; and 3) the annual variations caused by oceanic loading deformation get larger toward the south, reaching 3 mm in the Nansei Islands. It confirmed that when corrections are applied in the GPS analysis of GEONET data, the annual height variations of GEONET stations are largely reduced. Hence, it may now be possible to detect even these small movements related to the earthquake/volcanic activities that were formally obscured by the annual height noises, offering a hope that more accurate disaster prevention information could be provided. [Termes IGN] réseau géodésique localRésumé : (Auteur) This paper compares the results obtained from two homogenously reprocessed GNSS networks which are tied to a global conventional frame, namely the ITRF2005, using minimal constraints. The first network (222 stations) comprises the full EUREF Permanent Network (EPN). The second network is a smaller local network consisting of the national dense Belgian network and 38 EPN stations located in and around Belgium. We show that in reason of the network effect, it is impossible to mix the results of both cumulative solutions. Indeed, the position differences between both networks tied to the ITRF2005 using minimal constraints can reach 6.3 mm for the horizontal and 9.6 mm for the vertical. For the velocities, the differences reach 0.5 mm/yr for the horizontal and 2.4 mm/yr for the vertical. In order to mitigate these differences and to obtain a consistent set of station positions and velocities, the two solutions were combined on a weekly basis and then the combined weekly solutions were stacked to obtain a cumulative solution expressed in ITRF2005. The results demonstrate that the network effect on the local solution can be eliminated. This approach is valid thanks to the agreement between the weekly polyhedrons of both solutions as the same data analysis strategy was applied during both reprocessing.
