[Termes IGN] TurquieRésumé : (Auteur) The transformations between ITRFXX (international Terrestrial reference Frame) established for local and regional geodetic networks and ED50 (European Datum 1950) are routinely implemented in practice via several transformation models. in some specific cases, these models, which are widely used in practice, may be insufficient to solve the transformation problem, and thus this causes a significant loss of accuracy for the transformed points coordinates. in this study, firstly the polynomial transformations with general equations (GP) and complex numbers (CNP) were examined as alternative to well-known transformation models for modelling the distortions. in addition, transformation models based on radial basis functions (RBFs), a modern method for estimating multivariable functions, have been examined. The transformation problem has been addressed in two numerical case studies, with real data located in different regions of Turkey. [Termes IGN] surcharge atmosphériqueRésumé : (Auteur) Higher-order ionospheric (HOI) delays are one of the principal technique-specific error sources in precise global positioning system analysis and have been proposed to become a standard part of precise GPS data processing. In this research, we apply HOI delay corrections to the Crustal Movement Observation Network of China’s (CMONOC) data processing (from January 2000 to December 2013) and furnish quantitative results for the effects of HOI on CMONOC coordinate time series. The results for both a regional reference frame and global reference frame are analyzed and compared to clarify the HOI effects on the CMONOC network. We find that HOI corrections can effectively reduce the semi-annual signals in the northern and vertical components. For sites with lower semi-annual amplitudes, the average decrease in magnitude can reach 30 and 10 % for the northern and vertical components, respectively. The noise amplitudes with HOI corrections and those without HOI corrections are not significantly different. Generally, the HOI effects on CMONOC networks in a global reference frame are less obvious than the results in the regional reference frame, probably because the HOI-induced errors are smaller in comparison to the higher noise levels seen when using a global reference frame. Furthermore, we investigate the combined contributions of environmental loading and HOI effects on the CMONOC stations. The largest loading effects on the vertical displacement are found in the mid- to high-latitude areas. The weighted root mean square differences between the corrected and original weekly GPS height time series of the loading model indicate that the mass loading adequately reduced the scatter on the CMONOC height time series, whereas the results in the global reference frame showed better agreements between the GPS coordinate time series and the environmental loading. When combining the effects of environmental loading and HOI corrections, the results with the HOI corrections reduced the scatter on the observed GPS height coordinates better than the height when estimated without HOI corrections, and the combined solutions in the regional reference frame indicate more preferred improvements. Therefore, regional reference frames are recommended to investigate the HOI effects on regional networks. [Termes IGN] International Terrestrial Reference SystemRésumé : (auteur) [introduction] The European Terrestrial Reference System 89 (ETRS89) was adopted in 1990 in Firenze,Italy, following the EUREF Resolution 1 that states: "The IAG Subcommision for the Euro-pean Reference Frame recommends that the system to be adopted by EUREF will be coinci-dent with the ITRS at the epoch 1989.0 and fixed to the stable part of the Eurasian Plate andwill be known as European Terrestrial Reference System 89 (ETRS89)".Following this resolution, a detailed description of ETRS89 and its relationship with theInternational Terrestrial Reference System (ITRS), including transformation formula werepublished in Boucher and Altamimi (1992).The purpose of this Technical Note is to (1) recall the mathematical relationship link-ing ETRS89 to the ITRS, (2) provide the users with all the necessary information allowingto transform station positions and velocities from any ITRSrealization to any ETRS89 re-alization, designated hereafter by ITRFyyand ETRFyy, respectively, and (3) recommend aprocedure to follow when realizing the ETRS89 at the national or regional level using GNSSdata and the International GNSS Service (IGS) products. This Technical Note summarizesand replaces the old memo of Boucher and Altamimi that was first published in September20, 1993 and last updated in May 18, 2011. [Termes IGN] séismeRésumé : (auteur) GNSS observation over the area of the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake (April 14-16, 2016) reveals coseismic deformations of over 10 centimeters caused by the two large foreshocks and of ~ 1 meter caused by the mainshock as well as a postseismic deformation of up to a few centimeters. Large displacements are concentrated around Futagawa-Hinagu fault zone which is a known active fault in Kyushu Island. Kinematic positioning results imply the two large foreshocks initiated a rupture on the northern part of the Hinagu fault segment, then a rupture neighboring the southern part of the segment. The postseismic deformations that followed seem to be similar to the pattern of coseismic deformation, however, they are widely distributed. The sequence of earthquakes caused significant distortion in the Japanese geodetic datum around the focal area, but GEONET observation enabled a rapid response. Furthermore, it is believed the observation data provided by GEONET will make a significant contribution to understand the fault property along the active fault zone.
