[Termes IGN] système de référence localRésumé : (Auteur) When Cameroon’s Ministry of State Property Survey and Land Tenure (MINDCAF) recently embarked on a vast programme of land reform that included the modernisation of its national cadastre, one of the very first tasks was to establish a unique national geodetic network. Completing this important task in a country with such varied terrain and climate required careful planning, experienced surveyors and state-of-the-art technology. The resulting geodetic network was completed within a year and includes 25 reference points and 500 base points. A law will soon be passed in Cameroon requiring all future surveying and mapping activities to be based on this unique system. [Termes IGN] série temporelleRésumé : (auteur) More than 10 years (1996–2008) of weekly GPS solutions of 299 globally distributed stations have been used to quantify the impact of the reference frame definition and especially the size of the network on the estimated station positions, velocities, and residual position time series. For that purpose, weekly regional solutions (covering the European region) and global solutions have been respectively stacked to obtain regional and global station positions, velocities, and residual position time series. In both cases, the estimated long-term solutions have been tied to the ITRF2005 under minimal constraints using a selected set of reference stations. This study shows that: (1) regional position and velocity solutions can present biases with respect to each other and to global solutions, while in comparison, global solutions are much more stable; (2) the obtained residual position time series are affected by the size of the network with significantly reduced periodic signals in the regional networks, e.g. a 27% reduction of the annual signals in the height component. [Termes IGN] temps réelRésumé : (auteur) As a result of the Real-Time IGS Pilot Project (RT-IGS) and the EUREF Real-Time Analysis Project (EUREF-RT), real-time GNSS satellite orbit and clock corrections to broadcast ephemeris, the so-called real-time broadcast corrections (BC), have become available for the application in precise point positioning (PPP). The realtime BCs are currently available in global as well as in regional reference frames. In this contribution the PPP usage and performances of these global and regional BCs are analysed for the Australian continent. We identify the limitations of the current regional BCs, which results in scale-induced biases, and show how they can be improved. We also present an alternative, more user friendly, approach for regional BCs. It provides PPP users with simple means to correct for the biases of the regional approach. [Termes IGN] Mensuration Nationale 1995 (Suisse)
