[Termes IGN] PoseidonRésumé : (Auteur) The sea surface topography, which is directly linked to the shape of the geoid and to oceanic effects, is only measurable thanks to the spatial and temporal resolution of satellite altimetry. The contributions of satellite altimetry study in the Mediterranean have been considerable. The first maps of the marine geoid, with relative accuracy of one to two decimetres depending on the methods used, have contributed greatly to the understanding of geophysical phenomena. Subsequently, thanks to reductions in orbital errors, improvements in gravitational models, and to the development of pseudo-geometrical orbit computations, the accuracy of determination of the absolute mean sea level has improved from several meters to a few centimetres. The study presented here aims to determine seasonal variations in mean sea level in the Western Mediterranean basin by analysis of Jason-1 data corrected of different perturbations like the geophysical phenomena, the ocean wave influence, the inverse barometer effect, and the orbit error. The analysis of altimetric data Jason-1 allowed us to observe a strong amplitude of variations of the average level in the Western Mediterranean basin, of the order of 20 cm, with a characteristic period of one year. The comparison of the variation of the average height sea level at the harbour of Algiers obtained from analysis of altimetric data Jason-1 and from the harmonic analysis of tidal gauge measurements, showed almost identical results. [Termes IGN] poursuite de satelliteRésumé : (Auteur) Within the scope of the Global Geodetic Observing System, Doppler Orbit Determination and Radiopositioning Integrated by Satellite - as a geodetic technique - can provide precise and continuous monitoring of the geocenter motion related to mass redistribution in the Earth, ocean and atmosphere system. We have reanalyzed 1998 DORIS/SPOT-4 (Satellite pour l'Observation de la Terre) data that were previously generating inconsistent geocenter positions (-65 cm offset). We show here that this error is due to an incorrect phase center correction provided with the DORIS preprocessed data resulting from a +12cm offset in the cross-track direction that has been confirmed since. We also conclude that a 1 mm error in the cross-track offset of non-yawing sun-synchronous SPOT satellites will generate a -6.5 mm error in the derived Z-geocenter. Other non-yawing satellites would also be affected by a similar effect whose amplitude could be easily estimated from the orbit inclination. [Termes IGN] station permanenteRésumé : (auteur) We have demonstrated the possibility of deriving both station coordinates and Earth Orientation Parameters (EOP) using weekly normal equations derived from the processing of different space-geodetictechniques: VLBI, SLR, LLR, DORIS and GPS. The work is performed in the frame of a joint project within the GRGS, Groupe de Recherches de Géodésie Spatiale, federation of French institutes. Observations of the different techniques: VLBI, SLR, LLR, DORIS and GPS are processed separately at the different institutes where in addition expertise can be found for the specific technique. Before such products are adopted as references, different problems concerning the stabilization of the terrestrial reference frame have to be solved in addition to upgrading the individual techniques processing to the best possible level of accuracy. [Termes IGN] vitesse de déplacementRésumé : (auteur) Polar regions and especially Antarctica are nowadays recognised as exerting a major control upon the global Mean Sea Level (MSL) directly linked to climate changes. Monitoring and understanding the geodynamical behaviour of these regions is then of critical importance. The long-term displacement (or velocity) of reference sites helps constraining the ice sheet evolution prediction models. Several geodetic space techniques, such as GPS, observe displacements of such reference sites. In Antarctica, in addition to numerous GPS stations, four DORIS stations are permanently operating: Belgrano, Rothera, Syowa, Terre Adélie. In addition to the permanent DORIS stations, episodic DORIS campaigns took also place at Dome C / Concordia and on Sorsdal and Lambert glaciers. In this paper, we first present general information concerning the stations and the campaigns (exact location, period of measurements, etc). We then discuss the solutions obtained by different analysis centres (when available) for all DORIS stations in the Antarctic region. In particular, we use several ITRFs (from the early ITRF96 to ITRF2000) to see their impact on the derived velocities in Antarctica. An emphasis is given to the investigation and possible explanation of differences observed between each solution. Finally, we compare at these stations, the results of DORIS observations to the solutions from other geodetic techniques (GPS, VLBI) and to the results of repeated absolute gravity measurements (when available).
