[Termes IGN] transformation intensité-teinte-saturationRésumé : (auteur) Content based image retrieval (CBIR) process can retrieve images by matching its feature set values. The proposed novel CBIR methodology called Effective CBIR based on hybrid image features and multilevel approach (CBIR_LTP_GLCM) integrates the hybrid features such as color features and texture features, along with multilevel approach. The color features such as mean and standard deviation are adopted in the proposed method to represent the global color properties of an image. This method manipulates the color input-image by processing the Hue, Saturation and Value channels of the HSV color space. This novel work is enriched with the image feature derived from Local Ternary Pattern (LTP) in addition with GLCM. So, the proposed method CBIR_LTP_GLCM is potentially charged with meaningful modifications travelling with color image manipulation and extended image retrieval accuracy with the aid of multilevel approach. The proposed methodology is experimentally compared with the existing recent CBIR versions by using the standard database such as Corel-1 k, and a user contributed database named DB_VEG. [Termes IGN] transformation intensité-teinte-saturationRésumé : (auteur) The traditional hill-shading map is usually produced from a digital elevation model (DEM) by using the method of hypsometric tinting, which is capable of demonstrating the changes in geomorphology by setting the colors for hill-shading. However, the disadvantage is obvious that the surface features of the terrain can only be utilized by putting vector data on the map. Hence, the terrain display effect will be altered, especially in the production of large-scale maps, for which the artistic effect will be greatly weakened. This paper proposes a solution to this problem. First, we transform the RGB color space of the Digital orthophotographic map (DOM) image into the intensity-hue-saturation (IHS) color space. Then, we calculate the new value of the intensity as I′ for each pixel of the shaded relief model (SRM) of the high-resolution remote sensing image. Finally, we replace the component I with the new component I′ and then proceed with the inverse IHS transform. The case study shows that an objective representation of the actual situation is presented in the mapping area, and the 3D performance capabilities are enhanced. This research indicates that when the method of fusing the processed SRM with the IHS color system is used, the optimum index factor (OIF) and entropy of the generated map are 41.26 and 12.05, respectively, which are much greater than for the results of the traditional method. In other words, the proposed method can greatly enhance the terrain effect. [Termes IGN] transformation intensité-teinte-saturationRésumé : (auteur) Many pan-sharpening methods have been proposed to fuse the high spectral and low spatial resolution of multispectral (MS) image with the high spatial resolution of panchromatic (PAN) image to produce a multispectral image with improved spatial resolution. In this study, the effectiveness of pan-sharpening methods such as principal component analysis (PCA), brovey transform (BT), modified intensity hue saturation (M-IHS), multiplicative, wavelet-intensity-hue-saturation (W-IHS), wavelet principal component analysis (W-PCA), hyperspectral colour space (HCS), high-pass filter (HPF), gram-schmidt (GS), subtractive resolution merge (SRM), Fuze Go and Ehlers was assessed and compared by fusing the PAN and MS imagery of Quickbird-2. The qualities of the pan-sharpening methods were evaluated by both visual and quantitative analyses with respect to spatial and spectral fidelity. In quantitative analysis, the spectral indices such as spectral angle mapper (SAM), relative dimensionless global error in synthesis (ERGAS), structural similarity index method (SSIM), relative average spectral error (RASE), correlation coefficient (CC) and universal image quality index (Q) were used. The spatial indices such as spatial correlation coefficient (SCC), gradient and image entropy (E) were used. The result of both analyses revealed that the Ehlers and Fuze Go methods performed better than the other methods. The Ehlers method was superior by retaining the colour information, and Fuze Go best enhanced the spatial details in the fused image. [Termes IGN] transformation intensité-teinte-saturationRésumé : (auteur) The present study is based on digital analysis of IRS 1C/1D LISS-III and IRS P6 LISS-IV images for identification of lineaments in Meja Thermal Power Plant site in Allahabad district. In spite of all limitations due to anthropogenic activities of stone quarrying and criss cross unmetalled roads, almost non-existent vegetation indicators and soil moisture, the efforts were made to identify and map a number of lineaments in the study area and these were subsequently verified in the field. Most of the lineaments identified and mapped are not having any major displacement along them or are not displacing or truncating any major rock unit. Field investigations have revealed that there is no drastic change in the trend of rocks along the lineaments mapped in the study area. On the basis of digital analysis of IRS P6 LISS-IV data NE–SW and NW–SE trending lineaments have been identified and mapped. Some NNE–SSW trending lineaments have also been mapped. All the lineaments demarcated in this area still need to be correlated with the seismic data of the area by superimposing the microseismicity data over lineaments. [Termes IGN] transformation intensité-teinte-saturationRésumé : (Auteur) Optical remote sensing satellites obtain MS and Pan images simultaneously over the same coverage area. Remote sensing and image processing communities are working on different pan-sharpening methods capable of taking advantage of MS and Pan images. Each remote sensing system has its own advantages and disadvantages, leading to the question ‘Which pan-sharpening method should be used for which type of imagery?’ The aim of this research is to investigate the pan-sharpening performance of PLÉIADES-1A images. For this purpose, pan-sharpened images were generated using PCA, IHS and Brovey Transform which are the most popular pan-sharpening methods. Then, the pan-sharpened images were evaluated quantitatively using Correlation Coefficient, Root Mean Square Error, Relative Average Spectral Error, Spectral Angle Mapper and Erreur Relative Globale Adimensionnelle de Synthése. In addition, pan-sharpened images were evaluated qualitatively by taking object availability and completeness into consideration.
