[Termes IGN] téléphonie mobileRésumé : (auteur) In this paper, we introduce two watchtower-based parameter-tunable frameworks for efficient spatial processing with sparse distributions of Points of Interest (POIs) by exploiting mobile users’ check-in data collected from the location-aware social networks. In our proposed frameworks, the network traversal can terminate earlier by retrieving the distance information stored in watchtowers. More important, by observing that people’s movement often exhibits a strong spatial pattern, we employ Bayesian Information Criterion-based cluster analysis to model mobile users’ check-in data as a mixture of 2-dimensional Gaussian distributions, where each cluster corresponds to a geographical hot zone. Afterwards, POI watchtowers are established in the hot zones and non-hot zones discriminatorily. Moreover, we discuss the optimal watchtower deployment mechanism in order to achieve a desired balance between the off-line pre-computation cost and the on-line query efficiency. Finally, the superiority of our solutions over the state-of-the-art approaches is demonstrated using the real data collected from Gowalla with large-scale road networks. [Termes IGN] télémétrie laser terrestreRésumé : (Auteur) We extend the concept of intrinsic localization from a theoretical one-dimensional (1D) solution onto a 2D manifold that is embedded in a 3D space, and then recover the full six degrees of freedom for a mobile laser scanner with a simultaneous localization and mapping algorithm (SLAM). By intrinsic localization, we mean that no reference coordinate system, such as global navigation satellite system (GNSS), nor inertial measurement unit (IMU) are used. Experiments are conducted with a 2D laser scanner mounted on a rolling prototype platform, VILMA. The concept offers potential in being extendable to other wheeled platforms. [Termes IGN] service fondé sur la positionRésumé : (Auteur) Hospitals and health care organizations collect large amounts of detailed health care data that is in high demand by researchers. Thus, the possessors of such data are in need of methods that allow for this data to be released without compromising the confidentiality of the individuals to whom it pertains. As the geographic aspect of this data is becoming increasingly relevant for research being conducted, it is important for an anonymization process to pay due attention to the geographic attributes of such data. In this paper, a novel system for health care data anonymization is presented. At the core of the system is the aggregation of an initial regionalization guided by the use of a Voronoi diagram. We conduct a comparison with another location-based system of anonymization, GeoLeader. We show that our system is capable of producing results of a comparable quality with a much faster running time. [Termes IGN] taxinomieRésumé : (auteur) Geospatial services with different functions are assembled together to solve complex problems. Different taxonomies are developed to categorize these services into classes. As differences in granularity and semantics exist among these taxonomies, the identification of services across different taxonomies has become a challenge. In this paper, an approach to identify geospatial services across heterogeneous taxonomies is proposed. Using formal concept analysis, existing heterogeneous taxonomies are decomposed into semantic factors and their various combinations. With these semantic factors, a super taxonomy is established to integrate the original heterogeneous taxonomies. Finally, with the super taxonomy as a cross-referencing system, geospatial services with classes in original taxonomies are identifiable across taxonomies. Experiments in service registries and a social media-based spatial-temporal analysis project are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of this approach.
