[Termes IGN] système de référence géodésiqueRésumé : (Auteur) The usefulness of relativistic space-times for the description of the Earth’s gravitational field is investigated. A variety of exact vacuum solutions of Einstein’s field equations (Schwarzschild, Erez and Rosen, Gutsunayev and Manko, Hernández-Pastora and Martín, Kerr, Quevedo, and Mashhoon) are investigated in that respect. It is argued that because of their multipole structure and influences from external bodies, all these exact solutions are not really useful for the central problem. Then, approximate space-times resulting from an MPM or post-Newtonian approximation are considered. Only in the DSX formalism that is of the first post-Newtonian order, all aspects of the problem can be tackled: a relativistic description (a) of the Earth’s gravity field in a well-defined geocentric reference system (GCRS), (b) of the motion of solar system bodies in a barycentric reference system (BCRS), and (c) of inertial and tidal terms in the geocentric metric describing the external gravitational field. A relativistic SLR theory is also discussed with respect to our central problem. Orders of magnitude of many effects related to the Earth’s gravitational field and SLR are given. It is argued that a formalism with accuracies better than of the first post-Newtonian order is not yet available. [Termes IGN] valeur aberranteRésumé : (Auteur) Fault detection and isolation (FDI) techniques, which are called standard parity space approach (SPSA) and optimal parity vector approach (OPVA), have been presented in literature extensively for engineering sensor systems or sensor networks. This paper demonstrates the abilities of these approaches to detect and isolate outliers in geodetic networks. The ability to detect and isolate outliers has been measured by computing the mean success rate (MSR) for some given probability of significance levels. These approaches have been applied to a levelling network and a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) network. Different matrix decomposition techniques have been used as an alternative way to the Potter algorithm, which is used in SPSA and OPVA. It has been proven that the abilities of FDI techniques, i.e. the MSRs of OPVA, increase with regard to the ones of SPSA in the levelling network and the GNSS network especially if the significance level α is chosen as 0.001 by using Monte–Carlo simulation. [Termes IGN] visée verticaleRésumé : (Auteur) Multi-perspective airborne images that combine oblique and vertical views of the ground have proved to be a valuable source of information for numerous applications requiring a digital representation of the world. In this paper, an automatic methodology for rough georeferencing of large datasets of multiview oblique and vertical aerial images of urban regions without any metadata is proposed. Using feature-based matching combined with robust model fitting and least-squares techniques, the method requires the measurement of a minimum number of points with known coordinates in only one image. The results of this methodology are discussed through the presentation of a developed software suite which identifies the overlapping images, georeferences them, extracts their footprints, subdivides the images into groups based on these footprints and detects the images that cover a specific region. [Termes IGN] valeur aberranteRésumé : (Auteur) A current aim of ongoing research in the field of deformation measurement is to automatically determine geometric changes between several epochs with data captured by terrestrial laser scanners. A critical component within the process chain of deformation measurement is the transformation of captured point clouds into a reference coordinate system. This contribution proposes a surface-based alignment methodology that does not require artificial targets or extracted geometric primitives. A diagnostic method reveals deformations that occurred in between epochs and rejects them from the computation of transformation parameters that would otherwise cause erroneous registrations. The novel approach has been successfully tested on two practical cases where the highest degree of deformation extended to 65% of the total surface area.
