[Termes IGN] vitesseRésumé : (auteur) Questions about the accuracy of the origin of the different versions of International Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF), have been regularly raised. In particular the origin drift between ITRF2000 and ITRF2005 (and subsequent ITRF solutions) is well-known to be problematic. Here, we look forward a sort of geophysical evaluation of ITRF solutions. We investigate GNSS vertical velocities provided by the last four ITRF solutions (ITRF2000 to ITRF2014; Altamimi et al., 2005, 2007, 2011, 2016) that we compare with different Global Isostatic Adjustment (GIA) model predictions. We find that each new ITRF solution appears to be more and more consistent with all GIA predictions, except ITRF2014 whose consistency with the GIA models depends on the date of observation. Indeed, GNSS observations and GIA predictions appear consistent at global scale at a level of ~4 mm/yr using ITRF2000 data, ~2.5–3 mm/yr using ITRF2005 data, and ~2 mm/yr using ITRF2008 data (global weighted root mean squares). For ITRF2014, the consistency between GNSS observations and GIA predictions is extremely high in 2000 (~1.5 mm/yr) but seems then to decrease with time (~2 mm/yr in 2013). This discrepancy is due to the recent ice melting effect that is not accounted for in GIA models, but clearly evidenced by ITRF2014 vertical velocities during the last years of observations, in particular in Greenland. [Termes IGN] trajectoire (véhicule non spatial)Résumé : (auteur) The position of a seafloor geodetic station can be determined by combining Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and acoustic technologies, called GNSS-acoustic positioning. The precision of GNSS-acoustic positioning, a technique that employs the distance intersection, is determined by the positioning geometry formed by the ship’s track lines with respect to the seafloor station and the errors in the measurements. In the context of a shallow sea trial, we studied three key techniques in GNSS-acoustic positioning: the optimal geometric configuration, differencing techniques for acoustic observations and depth constraints offered by pressure gauges. The results showed that the optimal geometric configuration is a circular track with a radius of 2‾√ times the depth plus an overhead cross-track with a length of the circle diameter. Differenced observations can improve the horizontal positioning precision but will worsen the vertical positioning precision due to the change in the geometric configuration and the elimination of vertical information if the number of observations is limited. The proposed difference strategy, that is, applying a symmetric location difference operator to the circular track and an undifference operator to the cross-track, can effectively improve the horizontal precision and avoid vertical defects. By using relative depth observations from two pressure gauges as constraints, the vertical defects of GNSS-acoustic positioning can be improved, achieving a better vertical positioning precision. Applying the proposed methods to high-quality GNSS and acoustic observations, the positioning precision of a shallow seafloor geodetic station can be better than 2 cm. [Termes IGN] vision par ordinateurRésumé : (auteur) As people grow accustomed to effortless outdoor navigation, there is a rising demand for similar possibilities indoors as well. Unfortunately, indoor localization, being one of the requirements for navigation, continues to be a problem without a clear solution. In this article, we are proposing a method for an indoor positioning system using a single image. This is made possible using a small preprocessed database of images with known control points as the only preprocessing needed. Using feature detection with the SIFT (Scale Invariant Feature Transform) algorithm, we can look through the database and find an image that is the most similar to the image taken by a user. Such a pair of images is then used to find coordinates of a database of images using the PnP problem. Furthermore, projection and essential matrices are determined to calculate the user image localization—determining the position of the user in the indoor environment. The benefits of this approach lie in the single image being the only input from a user and the lack of requirements for new onsite infrastructure. Thus, our approach enables a more straightforward realization for building management. [Termes IGN] signal GNSSRésumé : (auteur) In recent years, the Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) have been intensively modernized, resulting in the introduction of new carrier frequencies for GPS and GLONASS and the development of new satellite systems such as Galileo and BeiDou (BDS). For this reason, the absolute field antenna calibrations performed so far for the two legacy carrier frequencies, the GPS and GLONASS, seem to be insufficient. Hence, all antennas will require a re-calibration of their phase center variations for the new signals to ensure the highest measurement accuracy. Currently, two absolute calibration methods are used to calibrate GNSS antennas: field calibration using a robot and calibration in an anechoic chamber. Unfortunately, differences in these methodologies also result in a disparity in the obtained antenna phase center corrections (PCC). Therefore, we analyze the differences between individual PCC obtained with these two methods, specifically for the Leica AR-25 antenna model (LEIAR25). In addition, the influence of PCC differences on the GNSS-derived position time series for 19 EUREF Permanent GNSS Network (EPN) stations was also assessed. The results show that the calibration method has a noticeable impact on PCC models. PCC differences determined for the ionosphere-free combination may reach up over 20 mm and can be transferred to the position domain. Further tests concerning the positioning accuracy showed that for horizontal coordinates differences between solutions were mostly below 1 mm, exceeding 2 mm only at two stations for the GLONASS solution. However, the height component differences exceeded 5 mm for four, six and six stations out of 19 for the GPS, GLONASS and Galileo solutions, respectively. These differences are strongly dependent on large L2 calibration differences.
