[Termes IGN] VRMLRésumé : (auteur) From 2015 to 2017, the ROSETTA‐Ice project comprehensively mapped Antarctica's Ross Ice Shelf using IcePod, a newly developed aerogeophysical platform. The campaign imaged the ice‐shelf surface with lidar and its internal structure with ice‐penetrating radar. The ROSETTA‐Ice data was combined with pre‐existing ice surface and bed topography digital elevation models to create the first augmented reality (AR) visualisation of the Antarctic Ice Sheet, using the Microsoft HoloLens. The ROSETTA‐Ice datasets support cross‐disciplinary science that aims to understand 4D processes, namely the change of 3D ice‐shelf structures over time. The work presented here uses AR to visualise this dataset in 3D and highlights how AR can be simultaneously a useful research tool for interdisciplinary geoscience as well as an effective device for science communication education. [Termes IGN] vitesse de déplacementRésumé : (auteur) The sharing of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) tracks on the Internet is increasing enormously. Every day a great number of users capture routes using different devices and share these data. Individually these tracks present a poor positional accuracy because these devices obtain positions with accuracy of about 5-10 metres. In addition, they are usually captured for navigation and not for surveying. However, we can take advantage of the great quantity of tracks of the same linear element in order to obtain a more accurate solution. This study analyses this possibility using a wide set of tracks obtained in known conditions. We emulated those tracks obtained by Volunteered Geographic Information (VGI) users and we compared the mean axis obtained using all tracks with others obtained from a more accurate source. Additionally, we analyse the displacement of other axes obtained by varying several parameters such as the number of tracks and their length or by dividing the route into sections in function of sinuosity, etc. The results have shown an improved 3D mean axis and the viability of the method proposed in this study in order to use axes obtained from several tracks in maps at certain scales. [Termes IGN] résolution d'ambiguïtéRésumé : (auteur) Traditionally, if full ambiguity resolution is not successful, partial ambiguity resolution (PAR) will be tried. However, identifying which subset of ambiguities to fix is not easy and is still an open problem. Since the actual purpose of most applications is positioning, rather than fixing all or part of the ambiguities, in this research, we are trying to bypass the problem of identifying which subset of ambiguities to fix and provide a partial solution in the coordinate domain for the bias-free case. The basic idea is that with a user-defined failure rate, we can find a group of ambiguity candidates and each will provide one position. The partial solution is constructed based on these positions together with an indicator to show its maximum positioning error with user-defined reliability. In order to meet various user requirements, different kinds of partial solutions in coordinate domain are proposed. Different from the traditional PAR methods, the new method still works with all the ambiguities (i.e. the complete vector), but works with the different possible values that the complete ambiguity vector may take. The validness and applicability of the proposed partial solution are demonstrated-based practical BeiDou triple-frequency observations. Numerical results show that some partial solutions can be more accurate, while others can meet higher reliability or integrity requirement. [Termes IGN] mesurage de phaseRésumé : (auteur) Pixel selection is a crucial step of all advanced Differential Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (DInSAR) techniques that have a direct impact on the quality of the final DInSAR products. In this paper, a full-resolution phase quality estimator, i.e., the temporal phase coherence (TPC), is proposed for DInSAR pixel selection. The method is able to work with both distributed scatterers (DSs) and permanent scatterers (PSs). The influence of different neighboring window sizes and types of interferograms combinations [both the single-master (SM) and the multi-master (MM)] on TPC has been studied. The relationship between TPC and phase standard deviation (STD) of the selected pixels has also been derived. Together with the classical coherence and amplitude dispersion methods, the TPC pixel selection algorithm has been tested on 37 VV polarization Radarsat-2 images of Barcelona Airport. Results show the feasibility and effectiveness of TPC pixel selection algorithm. Besides obvious improvements in the number of selected pixels, the new method shows some other advantages comparing with the other classical two. The proposed pixel selection algorithm, which presents an affordable computational cost, is easy to be implemented and incorporated into any advanced DInSAR processing chain for high-quality pixels' identification.
