[Termes IGN] temps réelRésumé : (auteur) Rapid initialization of real-time precise point positioning (PPP) has constantly been a difficult problem. Recent efforts through multi-GNSS and multi-frequency data, though beneficial indeed, have not proved sufficiently effective in reducing the initialization periods to far less than 10 min. Though this goal can be easily reached by introducing ionosphere corrections as accurate as a few centimeters, a dense reference network is required which is impractical for wide-area applications. Leveraging the latest development of GLONASS PPP ambiguity resolution (PPP-AR) technique, we propose a composite strategy, where simultaneous GPS and GLONASS dual-frequency PPP-AR is carried out, and herein, the reliability of partial AR improves dramatically. We used 14 days of data from a German network and divided them into hourly data to test this strategy. We found that the initialization periods were shortened drastically from over 25 min when only GPS data were processed to about 6 min when GPS and GLONASS PPP-AR were accomplished simultaneously. More encouragingly, over 50% of real-time PPP solutions could be initialized successfully within 5 min through our strategy, in contrast to only 4% when only GPS data were used. We expect that our strategy can provide a promising route to overcoming the difficulty of achieving PPP initializations within a few minutes. [Termes IGN] signal GalileoMots-clés libres : Multi-GNSS Experiment (MGEX) Résumé : (Auteur) When sensing the Earth’s ionosphere using dual-frequency pseudorange observations of global navigation satellite systems (GNSS), the satellite and receiver differential code biases (DCBs) account for one of the main sources of error. For the Galileo system, limited knowledge is available about the determination and characteristic analysis of the satellite and receiver DCBs. To better understand the characteristics of satellite and receiver DCBs of Galileo, the IGGDCB (IGG, Institute of Geodesy and Geophysics, Wuhan, China) method is extended to estimate the satellite and receiver DCBs of Galileo, with the combined use of GPS and Galileo observations. The experimental data were collected from the Multi-GNSS Experiment network, covering the period of 2013–2015. The stability of both Galileo satellite and receiver DCBs over a time period of 36 months was thereby analyzed for the current state of the Galileo system. Good agreement of Galileo satellite DCBs is found between the IGGDCB-based DCB estimates and those from the German Aerospace Center (DLR), at the level of 0.22 ns. Moreover, high-level stability of the Galileo satellite DCB estimates is obtained over the selected time span (less than 0.25 ns in terms of standard deviation) by both IGGDCB and DLR algorithms. The Galileo receiver DCB estimates are also relatively stable for the case in which the receiver hardware device stays unchanged. It can also be concluded that the receiver DCB estimates are rather sensitive to the change of the firmware version and that the receiver antenna type has no great impact on receiver DCBs. Il suffit pour cela d'y monter avec un récepteur GNSS multifréquence, de respecter les temps d'observations et d'utiliser les méthodes de calculs précis. On peut alors atteindre ce centimètre tant désiré dans la détermination de la hauteur au-dessus d'un ellipsoïde et dans un référentiel géodésique bien précis. Pourtant dans les colonnes de la plupart des journaux (on remarquera ici que XYZ, ne fait pas partie du lot) on lit souvent que l'altitude a été mesurée au centimètre près. Le passage de la hauteur au-dessus de l'ellipsoïde à l'altitude n'a rien de trivial et le centimètre est difficile à obtenir dans cette transformation, même si comme on l'entend souvent il suffit d'utiliser un géoïde. Le but des lignes ci-dessous est, tout en reprenant les notions de base, de faire le point sur ce qu'on peut attendre en matière de géoïde et de conversion de hauteur en altitude. [Termes IGN] topométrie de précisionRésumé : (Auteur) Une synthèse de connaissances actuelles sur le suivi de santé structurale des ouvrages d'art montre que les systèmes GNSS s'avèrent être des outils intéressants afin de compléter les méthodes déjà existantes. Aussi, plusieurs expériences ont été réalisées faisant intervenir des récepteurs GNSS et des accéléromètres. Après un traitement spécifique des données brutes afin de pouvoir les comparer, l'analyse des résultats obtenus a permis d'identifier le domaine d'application des deux techniques mises en oeuvre. En effet, il s'avère qu'en dessous de quelques millimètres d'amplitude de déplacement, le récepteur GNSS n'est pas adapté, et concernant l'accéléromètre, compte tenu des hypothèses de l'algorithme de reconstruction des déplacements utilisé notamment avec la présence d'une fréquence de coupure, des effets quasi statiques ne peuvent être mesurés. Ainsi les expériences ont permis d'évaluer les performances de chaque capteur et de montrer qu'utilisés conjointement, ils permettraient de fournir un ensemble d'informations complémentaires pour l'analyse de la structure. With the weak received signal power of GNSS signals, spurious harmonics from other systems can cause unintentional interference and, therefore, a serious problem to the reliable estimation of user position, velocity and time (PVT). Besides unintentional interference, more virulent intentionally radiated signals, called jammers, may knock out the GNSS receiver; this is especially the case when a jammer with high time-frequency dynamics (such as a chirp-like jammer) affects the GNSS signal spectrum. Whether unintentional or intentional, interference represents a serious threat to GNSS in applications ranging from safety-of-life to critical sectors like law enforcement, transportation, communication and finance. In such critical applications, it is important that the GNSS receiver provides a minimum level of reliability and robustness, even at the cost of increased price and complexity. To meet this need, some manufacturers and research institutions have been developing GNSS receivers equipped with anti-jamming capabilities.
