[Termes IGN] valeur aberranteRésumé : (Auteur) In this contribution the integrity of single-receiver, single-channel, multi-frequency GNSS models is studied. The uniformly most powerful invariant test statistics for spikes and slips are derived and their detection capabilities are described by means of minimal detectable biases (MDBs). Analytical closed-form expressions of the phase-slip, code-outlier and ionospheric-disturbance MDBs are given, thus providing insight into the various factors that contribute to the detection capabilities of the various test statistics. This is also done for the phaseless and codeless cases, as well as for the case of a temporary loss-of-lock on all frequencies. The analytical analysis presented is supported by means of numerical results. [Termes IGN] temps réelRésumé : (Auteur) The IGS Real-time Pilot Project (IGS-RTPP) provides real-time precise orbits and clocks, which support real-time positioning for single stations over large areas using the Precise Point Positioning (PPP) technique. This paper investigates the impact of real-time orbits, network configuration, and analysis strategies on real-time PPP implementation and demonstrates the real-time PPP performance. One month of data from the IGS network is analyzed in a real-time simulation mode. Results reveal the following: (1) In clock estimation, differential approaches are much more efficient than the zero-differenced approach. (2) The precision of IGS Ultra rapid (IGU) orbits could meet the IGS-RTPP requirement for precise clock estimation and PPP positioning. (3) Considering efficiency and precision, a network with 50 stations is recommended for the IGS-RTPP. It is demonstrated that the real-time satellite clock precision is 0.1 ns supporting hourly static PPP with a mean precision of 2–3 cm in the North component and 3–4 cm in the other components. Kinematic PPP assessed with onboard GPS data collected from a buoy provided mean coordinate precision of 2.2, 4.2, 6.1 cm in the North, East and Up directions, compared to the RTK solutions. [Termes IGN] téléphonie mobileRésumé : (Auteur) Evolving wireless communications technology, the incorporation of GNSS positioning into mobile devices, and increasingly crowded radio frequency spectrum are driving the creation of new specifications and standards for user equipment. Testing procedures and practices are changing in parallel with these developments and receiving additional impetus by real-world experiences such as the recent LightSquared/GPS controversy. Two engineers with extensive backgrounds in standards-setting and testing describe how these circumstances are shaping the evaluation methods for positioning capabilities in mobile devices that incorporate “fourth-generation” or 4G communications technology - including a growing reliance on over-the-air testing. [Termes IGN] signal GalileoRésumé : (Auteur) Single-frequency positioning can undoubtedly be improved with the deployment of new GNSS systems and the accompanying availability of new signals. Among various innovations, the Galileo E5 broadband signal deserves special attention. Its unique features, including the AltBOC modulation scheme, will drastically boost code range precision, both in terms of reduced code noise as well as with respect to multipath. Precise single-frequency positioning will be feasible at centimeter level, benefiting both scientific and non-scientific applications. This article demonstrates the expected performance of E5 for selected land applications and precise orbit determination of low Earth orbiting satellites.
