[Termes IGN] résolution d'ambiguïtéRésumé : (auteur) Techniques enabling precise point positioning with ambiguity resolution (PPP-AR) were developed over a decade ago. Several analysis centers of the International GNSS Service (IGS) have implemented such strategies into their software packages and are generating (experimental) PPP-AR products including satellite clock and bias corrections. While the IGS combines individual orbit and clock products as standard to provide a more reliable solution, interoperability of these new PPP-AR products must be confirmed before they can be combined. As a first step, all products are transformed into a common observable-specific representation of biases. It is then confirmed that consistency is only ensured by considering both clock and bias products simultaneously. As a consequence, the satellite clock combination process currently used by the IGS must be revisited to consider not only clocks but also biases. A combination of PPP-AR products from six analysis centers over a one-week period is successfully achieved, showing that alignment of phase clocks can be achieved with millimeter precision thanks to the integer properties of the clocks. In the positioning domain, PPP-AR solutions for all products show improved longitude estimates of daily static positions by nearly 60% over float solutions. The combined products generally provide equivalent or better results than individual analysis center contributions, for both static and kinematic solutions. [Termes IGN] série temporelleRésumé : (auteur) Recent studies reported a uniform global sea level acceleration during the satellite altimetry era (1993–2017) by analyzing globally averaged satellite altimetry measurements. Here, we discuss potential omission errors that were not thoroughly addressed in detecting and estimating the reported global sea level acceleration in these studies. Our analyses results demonstrate that the declared acceleration in recent studies can also be explained equally well by alternative kinematic models based on previously well-established multi-decadal global mean sea level variations of various origins, which suggests prudence before declaring the presence of an accelerating global mean sea level with confidence during the satellite altimetry era. [Termes IGN] résolution d'ambiguïtéRésumé : (auteur) Traditionally, if full ambiguity resolution is not successful, partial ambiguity resolution (PAR) will be tried. However, identifying which subset of ambiguities to fix is not easy and is still an open problem. Since the actual purpose of most applications is positioning, rather than fixing all or part of the ambiguities, in this research, we are trying to bypass the problem of identifying which subset of ambiguities to fix and provide a partial solution in the coordinate domain for the bias-free case. The basic idea is that with a user-defined failure rate, we can find a group of ambiguity candidates and each will provide one position. The partial solution is constructed based on these positions together with an indicator to show its maximum positioning error with user-defined reliability. In order to meet various user requirements, different kinds of partial solutions in coordinate domain are proposed. Different from the traditional PAR methods, the new method still works with all the ambiguities (i.e. the complete vector), but works with the different possible values that the complete ambiguity vector may take. The validness and applicability of the proposed partial solution are demonstrated-based practical BeiDou triple-frequency observations. Numerical results show that some partial solutions can be more accurate, while others can meet higher reliability or integrity requirement. [Termes IGN] positionnement cinématique en temps réelRésumé : (auteur) The Brazilian territory contains approximately 160 million hectares of pastures, and it is necessary to develop techniques to automate their management and increase their production. This technical note has two objectives: First, to estimate the canopy height using unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) photogrammetry; second, to propose an equation for the estimation of biomass of Brazilian savanna (Cerrado) pastures based on UAV canopy height. Four experimental units of Panicum maximum cv. BRS Tamani were evaluated. Herbage mass sampling, height measurements, and UAV image collection were simultaneously performed. The UAVs were flown at a height of 50 m, and images were generated with a mean ground sample distance (GSD) of approximately 1.55 cm. The forage canopy height estimated by UAVs was calculated as the difference between the digital surface model (DSM) and the digital terrain model (DTM). The R2 between ruler height and UAV height was 0.80; between biomass (kg ha−1 GB—green biomass) and ruler height, 0.81; and between biomass (kg ha−1 GB) and UAV height, 0.74. UAV photogrammetry proved to be a potential technique to estimate height and biomass in Brazilian Panicum maximum cv.
