[Termes IGN] sonde spatialeRésumé : (Auteur) In this paper, a novel oblique-incidence ionosonde (Wuhan Ionospheric Oblique-Incidence Sounding System) and its new application in the localization of the ionospheric irregularities are presented. Due to the usage of the binary-phase-coded waveform, a large signal processing gain, a high Doppler and range resolution, and a large unambiguous detection range can be achieved in this ionosonde. This ionosonde also adopts the peripheral component interconnect extensions for instruments (PXI) bus technology and is designed as a small-sized PXI-based system. Furthermore, a high-performance oven-controlled crystal oscillator that is disciplined by the Global Positioning System is used to achieve a good time and frequency synchronization. With multichannel digital receiver and multiple receiving sites, this ionosonde can be applied in the localization of the ionospheric irregularities. The details of the system configuration, the ambiguity function of the sounding waveforms, the signal processing algorithm, and the time and frequency synchronization method are described. The experimental results show that the virtual height along with the ground position of the ionospheric field-aligned irregularities can be preliminarily localized with this ionosonde. [Termes IGN] transformation de coordonnéesRésumé : (auteur) As a result of traditional geodetic surveying we usually achieve observations which are then used for calculating rectangular coordinates onto a plane along with precision evaluation. In this article the surveying methods are presented in which the situation is different. Test measurements were carried out, consisting in the measurement of a fragment of detailed control network in RTK (Real Time Kinematic) and RTX (Real Time Extended) mode with xFill function. First, the rectangular coordinates onto a plane (through the transformation of data ellipsoidal) were obtained, on the basis of which the conversion observations were determined and they were compared with each other, as well as with reference parameters - conversion observations out of detailed control network adjustment with use of the method of least squares. The results of the study allow to verify the precision and application possibilities of conversion observations obtained thanks to Trimble RTX technology with xFill function. Application of this surveying method in typical geodetic tasks is fully justifiable. Nevertheless, it is recommendable to be aware of the correlations of absolute or relative values obtained in RTX procedure to reference parameters, which in turn will enable conclusive verification of the possibilities of Trimble RTX technology application in certain geodetic surveys. [Vedettes matières IGN] Traitement de données GNSSRésumé : (auteur) The single receiver single satellite validation method is a technique that screens data from each satellite independently to detect and identify faulty observations. A new method for estimation of the stochastic properties of multi-constellation GNSS observation is presented utilising parameters of this validation method. Agreement of the characteristics of the validation statistics with theory is used as the criterion to select the best precision of the observations, spectral density and correlation time of the unknowns. A curve fitting approach in an iterative scheme is employed. The method is applicable to any GNSS with any arbitrary number of frequencies. Demonstration of the method results and performance is given using multiple-frequency data from GPS, GLONASS and Galileo in static and kinematic modes. [Termes IGN] simple différenceRésumé : (auteur) Traditional precise point positioning (PPP) is commonly based on un-differenced ionosphere-free linear combination of Global Positioning System (GPS) observations. Unfortunately, for kinematic applications, GPS often experiences poor satellite visibility or weak satellite geometry in urban areas. To overcome this limitation, we developed a PPP model, which combines the observations of three global navigation satellite systems (GNSS), namely GPS, GLONASS and Galileo. Both un-differenced and between-satellite single-difference (BSSD) ionosphere-free linear combinations of pseudorange and carrier phase GNSS measurements are processed. The performance of the combined GNSS PPP solution is compared with the GPS-only PPP solution using a real test scenario in downtown Kingston, Ontario. Inter-system biases between GPS and the other two systems are also studied and obtained as a byproduct of the PPP solution. It is shown that the addition of GLONASS observations improves the kinematic PPP solution accuracy in comparison with that of GPS-only solution. However, the contribution of adding Galileo observations is not significant due to the limited number of Galileo satellites launched up to date. In addition, BSSD solution is found to be superior to that of traditional un-differenced model.
