Thereafter plots the local minima in the segmented image. Point surrounded by the higher intensity values is called as local minima. The local minimum is the starting point for marking the tree crown boundary. The adjacent darker points along the local minima are plotted in a specific direction for marking the tree crown boundary. Subsequently a seven steps iterative procedure is followed for delineating and counting the tree crowns. The validation of the method is done on WorldView-2 data. [Termes IGN] restauration d'imageRésumé : (auteur) [introduction) [...] La méthode de suivi [de la perte de couvert végétal] développée à l’ONFI s’appuie sur les données Sentinel-1 et étudie les signatures temporelles des pixels. L’outil développé (Lardeux et al. (2019)) a été utilisé initialement utilisé pour le suivi de l’orpaillage illégal, mais des limitations ont été remontées, en particulier sur la détection des abattis. L’objectif de ce stage est donc d’améliorer la chaîne de traitement développée par l’ONFI pour le suivi de la déforestation. Il a principalement consisté à évaluer l’apport des données en polarisations VV (jusqu’ici seules les données en polarisation VH sont utilisées). Dans une première partie, nous rappellerons les principes de l’imagerie radar, puis ensuite nous décrirons les données utilisées ainsi que le site d’étude. La troisième partie sera consacrée à la méthode, basée sur l’outil développé par l’ONFI. Enfin, nous finirons par présenter les développements effectués durant ce stage et les résultats obtenus. Afin d’attribuer correctement ces subventions, il est nécessaire de recenser les types de cultures présents dans chaque parcelle tous les ans. Une automatisation du processus est donc souhaitable. Les séries temporelles d’images satellite constituent aujourd’hui la principale source de données utilisée pour la surveillance automatique de la Terre et sont de fait, la principale source de données utilisée en classification automatique. Nous proposons une nouvelle approche basée sur l’utilisation des séries temporelles d’images satellites pluriannuelles en opposition aux séries temporelles mono-année utilisées actuellement. Notre approche permet d’améliorer les performances des modèles de 7.7% par rapport aux modèles constituant l’état de l’art actuel. Dans une optique de suivit des cultures à partir d’imagerie satellite, l’utilisation de données pluriannuelles s’impose donc comme une nécessité. Note de contenu :

[Termes IGN] viticultureIndex. décimale : THESE Thèses et HDR Résumé : (auteur) L’évolution du climat dans le sud de l’Europe conduit à une hausse des températures et une baisse des précipitations pendant l’été. Cette évolution entraîne des contraintes hydriques de plus en plus importantes pour la vigne, obligeant les régions viticoles du sud de la France à réfléchir à des solutions pour conserver leur production. Un enjeu pour la filière est de pouvoir déterminer facilement les parcelles ou régions souffrant de stress hydrique. Dans une zone d’AOC par exemple, cela peut aider à justifier les demandes d’autorisation d’irrigation auprès de l’INAO. Il est également question de mieux gérer la ressource en eau pour la diriger vers les zones qui en ont le plus besoin. Quantifier et suivre le statut hydrique de la vigne permettrait également d’accélérer les réflexions sur l’évolution des pratiques culturales dans ces zones (gestion de l’inter-rang, date de récolte, encépagement. . . ). La télédétection est un outil parfaitement adapté pour répondre à cet enjeu. Le stress hydrique provoque une modification des caractéristiques biophysiques et biochimiques du tissu des plantes, qui se traduit dans la plupart des cas par une modification de leurs propriétés optiques. De plus, l’arrivé des deux satellites Sentinel-2 permet aujourd’hui un suivi de la végétation avec une revisite théorique tous les 5 jours à moindre coût. Ce travail de thèse est orienté autour de plusieurs axes de recherche (thématique et méthodologique) pour arriver à construire et mettre en place un service opérationnel. Dans un premier temps, il fallait comprendre comment s’expriment les symptômes physiologiques du stress hydrique, et, à l’aide de mesures hyperspectrales de référence, caractériser les gammes de longueurs d’onde où des modifications spectrales peuvent être observées. Par la suite, il était nécessaire de vérifier si cette connaissance est transposable aux mesures acquises par les capteurs des satellites actuellement en service et notamment Sentinel-2. Ce travail s’est appuyé sur des jeux de données uniques, combinant à la fois mesures de terrain (sur 3 ans dans 36 parcelles) et observations multispectrales et hyperspectrales. Cette étude a fait ressortir le domaine SWIR pour accéder à la teneur en eau des feuilles mais a également permis de confirmer l’utilité des bandes Red-Edge et NIR pour caractériser l’impact du contenu en eau sur la structure de la feuille et sur son contenu en chlorophylle. Un modèle de prédiction du statut hydrique de la vigne a été mis en place à partir des bandes 4 (Rouge), 6 (Red-Edge), 8a (NIR) et 12 (SWIR) de Sentinel-2. Ce modèle a pu être testé en 2020 sur des parcelles de 5 domaines viticoles, et de nombreux échanges réguliers ont eu lieu avec les viticulteurs pour vérifier la cohérence des résultats au niveau spatial et temporel. Ces premiers retours sont plus qu’encourageant pour la mise en place d’un outil opérationnel de suivi du statut hydrique de la vigne à partir des images Sentinel-2. Les derniers tests sont en cours pour intégrer le modèle dans une plateforme de traitement et de distribution de données automatique au sein de l’entreprise partenaire (TerraNIS). Une première phase de distribution pré-opérationnelle du service est prévue pour l’été 2021. Les travaux menés dans le cadre de cette thèse ont donc permis de mettre en lumière les domaines spectraux affectés par les variations de potentiel de tige de la vigne, de valider l’utilisation de Sentinel-2 comme outil de suivi temporel et spatial du statut hydrique de la vigne et de proposer les outils et algorithmes qui permettront à TerraNIS de proposer un service d’intérêt pour l’ensemble de la filière. Elle permet un nouveau régime d'observation flexible et à très haute résolution spatiale qui apparaît comme complémentaire à celui des systèmes satellitaires et favorise l'application du changement d'échelle. Cette thèse a pour objectif d'évaluer l'apport des complémentarités entre drone et satellite pour le suivi des prairies humides - des milieux à fort enjeux écologiques et économiques. Pour cela, les principales synergies entre les données drone et satellite ont été identifiées dans la littérature scientifique. Un jeu de données multi-sources et multi-échelles alliant observations drone, satellitaires et in-situ a été constitué sur le site de la réserve régionale du marais de Sougéal, France. Ainsi, deux synergies adaptées au changement d'échelle - la "calibration de modèle" et la "fusion de données" - ont été appliquées à la cartographie de la structure des prairies humides - la distribution des communautés végétales et les dynamiques d'inondation. Les résultats montrent que le drone apporte une information sur la structure spatiale fine qui est utile pour dépasser les effets de pixels mixtes présents dans les données satellitaires. Par ailleurs, ces synergies facilitent la réalisation de représentations cartographiques qui intègrent la nature graduelle des milieux de prairies humides. Note de contenu : Introduction générale
