[Termes IGN] visualisation 3DRésumé : (Auteur) Recent camera technology provides new solutions for high-resolution image acquisition. These cameras are based on large CCD-matrices as well as CCD-line sensors and fulfill both : large field of view and high spatial resolution. Single -or multi-line cameras have been designed for spaceborne, airborne and terrestrial scanners to provide high-resolution wide angle or even panoramic imagery. Such cameras allow new approaches of 3D scene visualization/reconstruction and new applications in airborne and close range photogrammetry. This has influences on camera design and development, calibration, image acquisition and data processing. [Termes IGN] système d'information géographiqueRésumé : (Auteur) With increasing use of geographic information sytems (GIS) true ortho-projections gain more and more importance. True ortho-images are geometrically correct and can be overlayed and intersected with GIS date sources of all kind. A complete true ortho-computation requires a detailed digital surface model as input, which can be collected by the airborne laser scanning approach. The sensor package of TopoSys GmbH allows for a simultaneaous collection of high resolution height and multispectral image data. Using the image data of the TopoSys linear array scanner true orthophotos in RGB and infrared are derived through processing of the LIDAR digital surface model. [Termes IGN] sédimentRésumé : (Auteur) On November the 13th of 1985, the City of Armero (Colombia) was destroyed by debris flows generated by a reactivation of the Nevado del Ruiz Volcano. The flows ocurred in at least three principal pulses, as was observed by the disater's survivors. Landsat TM 5 data processing was carried out in subscenes taken before and after the lahar sedimentation. False color composites were generated and combined with the geological information available in order to visualize the magnitude of the catastrophe and the flow characteristics. Taking advantage of Landsat TM 5 images with high spectral resolution, a detailed photogeological mapping of the three principal pulses of the debris flows was carried out. Landsat TM 5 proved to be a powerful complementary source of information for hazard assesment of these catastrophic debris flows. The images were used in addition to groundbased information, and were an easy way to help ordinary people and decision makers understand such hazardous volcanic situations. [Termes IGN] visualisation 3DRésumé : (Auteur) Although the GIS community has been quick to exploit the advantages of virtual reality (VR) for display and analysis of spatial data, VR does not appear to have been exploited widely for remote sensing data analysis. A case study of high resolution lidar data acquired over a deciduous forest near Morgantown, WV was used to investigate the potential and limitations of current VR software for remote sensing analysis. The functionality within a standard remote sensing software package was found to provide a good overview of interpolated, smoothed lidar data, but was less useful for gridded data that had not been interpolated. With gridded data, it was possible to drape orthophotographs or other images over the lidar data, providing a useful method for investigating relationships between lidar and other data. Alternatively, using a commercial VR package, it was possible to view the original lidar point data, and thus visualize the multiple returns from within the canopy of each tree. The point data were preferable for identification of surfaces within the data cloud, especially the ground surface. For a fully integrated remote sensing VR package, functionality will be needed to link point and interpolated coverages, and also to enhance the interactive selection of data for further statistical analysis, Numéro de notice : A2003-100 Affiliation des auteurs : non IGN Thématique : FORET/IMAGERIE Nature : Article nature-HAL : ArtAvecCL-RevueIntern DOI : 10.1080/10106040308542260 En ligne : https://doi.org/10.1080/10106040308542260 Format de la ressource électronique : URL article Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=22396

[Termes IGN] image panchromatiqueRésumé : (auteur) A set of methodologies and techniques for automatic detection of bridges in pan-chromatic, high-resolution satellite images is presented. These methods rely on (a) radiometric features and neural networks to classify each pixel into several terrain types, and (b) fixed rules to find bridges in this classification. They can be easily extended to other kinds of geographical objects, and integrated with existing techniques using geometric features. The proposed method has been tested in a number of experiments.
