[Termes IGN] tâche image d'un pointRésumé : (Auteur) Efficient and accurate imaging spectroscopy data processing asks for perfectly consistent (i.e., ideally uniform) data in both the spectral and spatial dimensions. However, real pushbroom-type imaging spectrometers are affected by various point spread function (PSF) nonuniformity artifacts. First, individual pixels or lines may be missing in the raw data due to bad pixels originating from the detector, readout errors, or even electronic failures. Second, so-called smile and keystone optical aberrations are inherent to imaging spectrometers. Appropriate resampling strategies are required for the preprocessing of such data if emphasis is put on spatial PSF uniformity. So far, nearest neighbour interpolations have been often recommended and used for resampling. This paper shall analyze the radiometric effects if linear interpolation is used to optimize the spatial PSF uniformity. For modeling interpolation effects, an extensive library of measured surface reflectance spectra as well as real imaging spectroscopy data over various land cover types are used. The real measurements are systematically replaced by interpolated values, and the deviation between original and resampled spectra is taken as a quality measure. The effects of nearest neighbour resampling and linear interpolation methods are compared. It is found that linear interpolation methods lead to average radiometric errors below 2% for the correction of spatial PSF nonuniformity in the subpixel domain, whereas the replacement of missing pixels leads to average errors in the range of 10%-20%. [Termes IGN] modèle numérique de terrainRésumé : (auteur) Updating 2D databases has become a crucial issue in most mapping agencies. Such a work traditionally starts out with a change detection phase. A subsequent update phase is then carried out to register changes in the up-to-date database. The first phase is by far the most costly and plodding, as it has until now required field or visual inspection (of orthophotos). The main goal of this paper is to present a new method for detecting changes in the building layer of a 2D cadastral database. This method aims at giving potential changes to a human operator for subsequent validation and update registration. In this paper, we propose a new workflow for the change detection process, by splitting it into 2 separate steps. The first step consists in verifying automatically buildings through a hypothesizeand verify process: the initial description of the database is used to guide the change detection process. The second step consists in extracting new buildings from geometric considerations. In this paper, the method is tested and assessed in a densely built-up area. A specific methodology is firstly employed to estimate the best parameters to use in the system and also to characterise its performance. Results are secondly assessed and show the high potential of our system in such a context. Buildings are reconstructed as a set of roof planes with a set of parametric shapes that model roof superstructures. The proposed model-based approach minimizes a Minimum Description Length energy. We present a hierarchical strategy to extract, analyze and delineate vegetation areas according to their height. To detect urban vegetation areas, we develop two methods, one using spectral indices and the second one based on a Support Vector Machines (SVM) classifier. Once vegetation areas detected, we differentiate lawns from treed areas by computing a texture operator on the Digital Surface Model (DSM). A robust region growing method based on the DSM is proposed for an accurate delineation of tree crowns. Delineation results are compared to results obtained by a Random Walk region growing technique for tree crown delineation. We evaluate the accuracy of the tree crown delineation results to a reference manual delineation. Results obtained are discussed and the influential factors are put forward.
