[Termes IGN] temps réelRésumé : (auteur) Real-time precise point positioning (PPP) based on open-access real-time service (RTS) of the international GNSS service (IGS) has attracted increasing attention in recent years. For offshore applications, the receiving of RTS corrections becomes a major obstacle due to lack of internet-based infrastructures. Short-message communication (SMC) is a particular technique of BeiDou navigation satellite system (BDS), which can provide bidirectional communication between users in a cost-effective way. However, the limited bandwidth and frequency of BDS SMC make it impossible to directly broadcast IGS RTS corrections with BDS SMC. An offshore real-time PPP technique is proposed based on IGS RTS corrections with a single set of BDS SMC devices for communication. RTS orbit corrections in the along-track, cross-track and radial directions, the clock correction and the code bias correction of each satellite are together converted into an equivalent range correction on the basis of user approximate position and will-be-used code observation types. The range corrections within 1 min are fitted into a first-order polynomial. Only the range and range-rate corrections at the reference time are broadcast with BDS SMC. In addition, different from broadcasting corrections of all satellites in the IGS RTS, corrections of only visible satellites are encoded into a BDS SMC correction message to further reduce the data size. The encoding strategy of BDS SMC correction message and a detailed procedure of the offshore real-time PPP technique are presented. The land-simulated and offshore experiment results show that the proposed technique can meet the demands of high-precision offshore applications. [Termes IGN] traitement de données GNSSRésumé : (auteur) GipsyX/RTGx is the Jet Propulsion Laboratory’s (JPL) next generation software package for positioning, navigation, timing, and Earth science using measurements from three geodetic techniques: Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), Satellite Laser Ranging (SLR), and Doppler Orbitography and Radiopositioning Integrated by Satellite (DORIS); with Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) under development. The software facilitates combined estimation of geodetic and geophysical parameters using a Kalman filter approach on real or simulated data in both post-processing and in real-time. The estimated parameters include station coordinates and velocities, satellite orbits and clocks, Earth orientation, ionospheric and tropospheric delays. The software is also capable of full realization of a dynamic terrestrial reference through analysis and combination of time series of ground station coordinates.
Applying lessons learned from its predecessors, GIPSY-OASIS and Real Time GIPSY (RTG), GipsyX/RTGx was re-designed from the ground up to offer improved precision, accuracy, usability, and operational flexibility. We present some key aspects of its new architecture, and describe some of its major applications, including Real-time orbit determination and ephemeris predictions in the U.S. Air Force Next Generation GPS Operational Control Segment (OCX), as well as in JPL’s Global Differential GPS (GDGPS) System, supporting User Range Error (URE) of
5 cm RMS; precision post-processing GNSS orbit determination, including JPL’s contributions to the International GNSS Service (IGS) with URE in the 2 cm RMS range; Precise point positioning (PPP) with ambiguity resolution, both statically and kinematically, for geodetic applications with 2 mm horizontal, and 6.5 mm vertical repeatability for static positioning; Operational orbit and clock determination for Low Earth Orbiting (LEO) satellites, such as NASA’s Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) mission with GRACE relative clock alignment at the 20 ps level; calibration of radio occultation data from LEO satellites for weather forecasting and climate studies; Satellite Laser Ranging (SLR) to GNSS and LEO satellites, DORIS-based and multi-technique orbit determination for LEO; production of terrestrial reference frames and Earth rotation parameters in support of JPL’s contribution to the International Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF).Numéro de notice : A2020-575 Affiliation des auteurs : UMR IPGP-Géod+Ext (2020- ) Thématique : INFORMATIQUE/POSITIONNEMENT Nature : Article nature-HAL : ArtAvecCL-RevueIntern DOI : 10.1016/j.asr.2020.04.015 Date de publication en ligne : 22/04/2020 En ligne : https://doi.org/10.1016/j.asr.2020.04.015 Format de la ressource électronique : URL article Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=96369

[Termes IGN] trafic routierRésumé : (Auteur) Air pollution and road traffic noise are two important environmental nuisances that could be harmful to the health and well-being of urban populations. In Mexico City, as in many North American cities, there has been an upusurge in bicycle ridership. However, Mexico City is also well known for having high levels of noise and air pollution. The purpose of this study is threefold: 1) evaluate cyclists' exposure to air pollution (nitrogen dioxide) and road traffic noise; 2) identify local factors that increase or reduce cyclists' exposure, in paying particular attention to the type of road and bicycle path or lane used; and 3) evaluate the influence of real-time traffic density on cyclists' exposure. A total of 19 bicycle trips made in central Mexico City neighbourhoods were analyzed, representing nearly 11 hours and 137 km. The results of the Bayesian models show that type of road and bicyle infrastructure taken by the cyclist, and proximity to a main artery all have significant impacts on exposure levels. Finally, the variables introduced to control for the traffic encountered by cyclists had a significant positive effect on noise exposure, and a positive but not significant effect on nitrogen dioxide exposure. [Termes IGN] temps réelRésumé : (auteur) The heavy reliance of real-time precise point positioning (RTPPP) on external satellite clock products may lead to discontinuity or even failure in time-critical applications. We present an alternative approach of real-time undifferenced precise positioning (RUP) that, by combining satellite clock estimation and precise point positioning based on the extended Kalman filter, is independent of external satellite clock corrections. The approach is evaluated in simulated real time with the assistance of a variable number of IGS multi-GNSS stations located between 1359.7 and 4852.5 km from the users. The results show that even with a single auxiliary IGS station, RUP is still feasible and able to retain centimeter-level positioning accuracy. Typically, with three auxiliary IGS stations about 2000–3000 km away, an accuracy of about 2 cm in the horizontal and 5 cm in the vertical can be achieved. The performance of RUP is comparable to that of PPP using 5-s satellite clock products and notably exhibits superior short-term precision in dealing with high-rate (1 Hz) GPS/GLONASS observations. The addition of GLONASS observations reduces the convergence time by 56.9% and improves the 3-D position accuracy by 31.8% while increasing the processing latency by a factor of about 1.6. Employing three IGS stations over 2400 km away from the epicenter, RUP is applied for the rapid determination of coseismic displacements and waveforms for the 2016 Kaikoura earthquake, yielding highly consistent results compared to those obtained from post-processed PPP in the global reference frame. We also explore its potential in facilitating real-time online services in terms of real-time precise positioning, zenith tropospheric delay retrieving, and satellite clock estimation. [Termes IGN] transport publicRésumé : (auteur) Public transit vehicles such as buses operate within shared transportation networks subject to dynamic conditions and disruptions such as traffic congestion. The operational delays caused by these conditions can propagate downstream through scheduled transit routes, affecting system performance beyond the initial delay. This paper develops an approach to measuring and assessing vehicle delay propagation in public transit systems. We fuse data on scheduled bus service with real-time vehicle location data to measure the originating, cascading and recovery locations of delay events across space with respect to time. We integrate the resulting patterns to construct stop-specific delay propagation networks. We also analyze the spatiotemporal patterns of propagating delays using parameters such as 1) transit line-based network distance, 2) total propagating delay size, and 3) distance decay. We apply our methodology using publicly available schedule and real-time location data from the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) public bus system in Columbus, Ohio, USA. We find that delay initiation is spatially and temporally uneven, concentrating on specific stops in downtown and specific suburban locations. Core stops play a critical role in propagating delays to a wide range of connected stops, eventually having a disproportional impact on the on-time performance of the bus system.
