[Vedettes matières IGN] GénéralisationRésumé : (Auteur) This paper proposes a compound hierarchy to be used in cartographic labelling of streets. The main purposes of this hierarchy are to ease navigation of street maps and to provide more understandability and legibility of street features for map users. The hierarchy uses centrality measures along with functional classes of the streets to order features according to their spatial importance in each used zoom level. The calculation of a proper radius, to be employed in the calculations of centrality measures, is based on extracting proper field of view in the map user’s focus status. The used measures are integrated using fuzzy-analytic hierarchy process, yielding proper coefficients to create the hierarchy. The hierarchy is applied for the thinning process and later for using the styled layer descriptor to label street features. Quality constrains are implemented to make the street labels more understandable and readable. [Vedettes matières IGN] GéovisualisationRésumé : (auteur) In this paper, we describe a system for visualizing and exploiting 3D digital data of the Parisian sewer system (PSS). PSS presents a difficult working environment because it is subject to a certain number of risks: toxic gases and waste, biological risks such as viruses and pathogenic bacteria contained in wastewater. Certain areas of PSS are damp, unhealthy, encumbered with waste. In order to improve the working conditions of the sewers and usage of the network in the context of the research for a reduction on exposures to health and safety risks, we developed such system aiming to do the visualization and exploitation of 3D PSS data. Our system allows sewer operators to gather data, information for observation, direct inspection, indirect monitoring and reporting to assess the condition of such sewer system. [Termes IGN] système d'information urbainIndex. décimale : PROJET Mémoires : Rapports de projet - stage des ingénieurs de 2e année Résumé : (auteur) In the cities, the underground networks system become more and more dense because of the
occupation of many infrastructures for water, storm-water, sewer, electricity, gas, etc. Urban and ecological problems can be faced thanks to them. However, they are difficult to manage because of the impossibility of seeing them. The location of existing infrastructures is a necessity for controlling their development. Converting from CAD to GIS may improve the CAD drawings with spatial information and attributes and allows a better accessibility, accuracy and performance [Warner, 2013]. The Geographic Information System (GIS) implementation process for municipalities can be very complex, expensive, and time consuming, depending on the knowledge of municipalities. Maps of underground infrastructure systems are mainly stored in paper or CAD format and many cities and organizations around the world are putting significant efforts into converting those maps into GIS format. However, most of these efforts are uncoordinated and a formal protocol is missing to deal with GIS map update and version control. During this internship, it was asked to survey current practices in the world and develop a formal protocol to convert and manage GIS maps of underground infrastructure systems. The project required a technical expertise (to account for the potentials and limits of GIS) and specific knowledge about underground infrastructure systems. I had to survey current efforts in the world to convert and manage underground maps mainly thanks to a survey of municipalities and through online searches. Then developed a formal protocol illustrated by a general flowchart that should offer a streamlined strategy to ensure effective conversion from CAD to GIS and allows a better data management. The project resulted in a scientific publication. These works allowed me to develop GIS, Python, communication and writing skills in English.Note de contenu : Introduction
