Ce stage s'est déroulé au MATIS (Méthode d'Analyse et de Traitement d'Image pour la Stéréorestitution), laboratoire qui s'occupe de la recherche en traitement d'image et en photogrammétrie. Les domaines concernés par cette étude sont le traitement d'image et la cartographie. Les Modèles Numériques de Terrain obtenus par corrélation automatique sur des couples stéréoscopiques de photographies aériennes, restituent toutes les parties vues de la scène, comprenant donc tous les éléments du sursol (toits des bâtiments, sommet des arbres,...). Le but du stage est de mettre en oeuvre une méthode de détection et d'élimination des éléments du sursol, puis une méthode de reconstitution du MNT correspondant à l'altitude du sol.
