[Termes IGN] transformation IWSTRésumé : (Auteur) Kalman filtering is a multiple-input, multiple-output filter that can optimally estimate the states of a system, and applicable for deformation analysis. The states are all the variables needed to completely describe the system behavior of the deformation process as a function of time (such as position, velocity etc.). The standard Kalman filter estimates the state vector where the measuring process is described by a linear system. In order to process a non-linear system an optimized aspect of Kalman filter is required. The main purpose of this research is to evaluate the optimized Kalman filter (OKF) as a non-robust method versus the iterative weighted similarity transformation (IWST) as a rigorous (also called robust) method. To satisfy this objective, first a detailed description on executing the optimized Kalman filter using the observation of angles and distances directly is provided. Then, 2-D total station data observations comprising distances and angles are used to demonstrate the OKF. For detecting the deformation, a real point-related test (single point test) is applied for every point as a local test. Consequently, the findings from OKF are compared and evaluated against the results from the IWST method. In general, the outcome of the Kalman filter algorithm is close to the preliminary results from the IWST method. The maximum and minimum differences in computed displacements are 0.2 and 2 millimeters respectively. Finally, Kalman filter approaches, having some properties, are recognized as suitable techniques for deformation analysis. [Termes IGN] transformation rapide de FourierRésumé : (Auteur) Building structures are extremely sensitive to the influence of outdoor conditions. The most frequent types of outdoor conditions are the influence of wind, sunshine, changes in the temperature of a building's surroundings and, lastly, the effect of a buildings own loading or the improper loading by another source. According to the resonance of the structure with its surroundings, vibrations and oscillations at relatively high frequency intervals (0.1–100.0 Hz) also occur. These phenomena significantly affect the static and dynamic characteristics of structures, as well as their safety and functionality. The paper provides an example of the monitoring of these phenomena using geodetic methods at two different types of structures. The first example is an industrial structure with a cylindrical shape, the monitoring of which was made by a total station with a measuring frequency of approximately 2 Hz. The second example is the Apollo Bridge on the Danube in Bratislava (Slovakia), the steel structure of which was measured by acceleration sensors with a frequency of up to 10 Hz. The central aim of the paper is an analysis of the dynamic behavior of both structures using spectral analysis methods. The use of the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) and the Lomb–Scargle periodogram is described; the structure's own frequencies and the amplitudes of the structure's oscillations are calculated. [Termes IGN] précision du positionnementRésumé : (auteur) (Auteur) The disparity between the legal understanding of boundaries and their surveyed location is explained. The impacts of this disparity on three boundary fabrics issues: survey-accuracy; greening cadastres; and crowdsourced cadastres are then examined. The features are selected based on contemporary discourse within the domain of land administration. Survey-accuracy is found to be a confused, misused, and often politicized term. The concept of idealization precision should be revisited and embedded into both curriculum and cadastral design. Green boundaries, at least some forms, are already handled in some systems; however, newer varieties require better tools for adjudication, demarcation, survey, recording, and adherence. Crowdsourced data can be understood as a re-emergence of deeds style registration with its associated benefits and disadvantages. It might support existing cadastral systems, particularly those that lack complete coverage; however, it may also be used to publicize discontent with these existing systems. The paper illustrates lessons, threats, and opportunities for land practitioners involved with the establishment and maintenance of the legal boundary fabric. [Termes IGN] toitRésumé : (Auteur) This paper presents a possible way of surveying and modelling very complex architecture, integrating different instrumentation and modelling methods. In particular, it aims to draw attention to a possible measurement and data processing procedure allowing the rapid collection and post-processing of data in order to extract classical architectural products such as sections and profiles, and to build complete, accurate 3D models. The need is to structure a multiple data source procedure within a five-year project (still in progress) to survey and model the main spire of Milan Cathedral three-dimensionally. The spire is a very complex object and, for this reason, provides a really useful, challenging field test for new 3D survey technologies and, in particular, for integrating a variety of modelling methodologies. The paper describes survey workflow and processing steps, focusing on problems and justifying key choices. [Termes IGN] précision des donnéesRésumé : (Auteur) Renewed debate on the nature and role of the cadastre was sparked in 2010 through the forums of FIG 2010 in Sydney, Australia, and GIM International. Six design elements for ‘future cadastres' were discussed, one of them being ‘survey accuracy'. The wide range of responses regarding this design element implied that the topic required further clarification. Here, we hope to provide such clarification and further the dialogue on ‘Towards Cadastre 2034'.
