[Termes IGN] teneur totale en électronsRésumé : (auteur) Long convergence time has limited the wide application of traditional precise point positioning (PPP) based on an ionosphere-free combination of dual-frequency observations. Different from the traditional PPP, the uncombined PPP method based on raw observations estimates ionospheric delays. When external ionospheric information is available, it can be applied as a constraint to help shorten the convergence time, as a result of the reduced correlation between the position and the ionospheric parameters. The receiver differential code biases (DCBs) will be a concern, however, when applying the external ionospheric information. For receiver DCBs, it is usually assumed that the biases can be absorbed by the receiver clock parameters. We have demonstrated that the receiver DCBs cannot be fully assimilated by one receiver code clock parameter because the receiver DCBs have different effects on the code and carrier phase measurements at any frequency. Additional parameters are necessary to model the receiver DCBs so that their effects on the positioning solution can be minimized. We developed an ionosphere-constrained PPP model to incorporate ionospheric total electron content (TEC) in the slant (STEC) and vertical (VTEC) when leveraging a regional network and global ionospheric maps (GIMs). Both static and kinematic experimental results show that the convergence time and the positioning accuracy can be improved significantly. Accuracies at the first epoch of 0.4 m for GIM constraints, and 0.2 m for the regional constraints, are achievable. The convergence time to 1 dm horizontal accuracy is reduced to 7.5 min at a 68% confidence level. [Termes IGN] temps réelRésumé : (Auteur) The recent development of the Galileo space segment and the accompanying support of the International GNSS Service (IGS) allows for worldwide Galileo-only positioning. In this study, different techniques of dual-frequency absolute positioning using the fully serviceable Galileo constellation are evaluated for the first time and compared to the performance of GPS positioning. The daily static positioning based on the broadcast ephemeris using Galileo pseudoranges is significantly more accurate than the corresponding GPS solutions, obtaining the accuracy of a few decimeters. In the kinematic mode, the accuracy is better than 10 m and 20 m for the horizontal and vertical components, respectively, which is comparable to that of GPS. Precise absolute positioning using pseudorange and carrier phase Galileo observations combined with IGS Real-Time Service (RTS) or Multi-GNSS Experiment products is not yet as good as the corresponding GPS solutions. In the static mode, the root mean squared error (RMSE) between estimated and reference coordinates does not exceed 0.05 m and 0.06 m for the horizontal and vertical components, respectively. In the kinematic mode, the respective accuracies are better than 0.17 m and 0.21 m. Moreover, we show that both GPS and Galileo pseudorange solutions benefit from the RTS when compared to the broadcast solutions with the improvement in the accuracy between 10 and 59%. Remarkable results are achieved for Galileo Precise Point Positioning (PPP) solutions based on the broadcast ephemeris. In the static mode, the RMSE is 0.07 and 0.10 m for the horizontal and vertical components which is three and two times better, respectively, then the corresponding solutions based on GPS. [Termes IGN] transformation de FourierRésumé : (auteur) Interferogram filtering for noise reduction is a key to many radar interferometric applications. Repeat pass radar interferometry often uses data with less than ideal correlation levels resulting from either long spatial or temporal baselines or changes between observations leading to high levels of temporal correlation. To maximize the utility of such pairs filtering the interferogram to get maximal noise reduction is often needed. One technique that has proved quite useful in the geophysical community is power spectral or Goldstein–Werner filtering of the interferogram whereby a power-weighted version of the Fourier transform is used to enhance fringe visibility. Although this paper defining the filter briefly touched upon the spatial resolution and noise reduction induced by the filter, it did not provide a useful formula for predicting the phase noise after filtering. This paper derives a formula for the phase noise obtained from power spectral filtering albeit under the restriction of several simplifying assumptions to make the problem analytically tractable. In particular, it is assumed that the interferometric phase is locally well approximated by a linear phase ramp with nonlinear phase perturbations small in a spectral energy sense compared to the linear term. [Termes IGN] valeur aberranteRésumé : (auteur) In GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) kinematic positioning, observations will be inevitably contaminated by cycle slips and gross errors, as the complex observation environment changes rapidly. These outliers will degrade the performance of classic Kalman filtering applied in GNSS kinematic resolution and eventually, the filtering may converge slowly or even diverge and thus the precision will be degraded. Therefore, a robust Kalman filter should be applied to resist the influence of these outliers that cannot be identified in the data preprocessing stage. Based on the conventional IGG (Institute of Geodesy and Geophysics) III equivalent weight method which addresses the outliers of the zero-weight segment with the same strategy, this paper proposes an improved robust Kalman filtering strategy that detects outliers by both posterior phase residuals and standardized residuals and handles the carrier-phase observation of zero-weight segment as cycle slips. In addition, to avoid unnecessary ambiguity reinitialization caused by the detected cycle slips, only when the carrier-phase observation of the same satellite is classified in the zero-weight segment over two consecutive epochs should the ambiguity be reinitialized. Experimental results of relative positioning show that the improved method can not only mitigate the influence of unexpected outliers in the Kalman filter but also improve the fixing rate of ambiguity resolution as well as the accuracy and reliability of positioning. [Termes IGN] Sentinel-3Résumé : (Auteur) The Sentinel-3 mission takes routine measurements of sea surface heights and depends crucially on accurate and precise knowledge of the spacecraft. Orbit determination with a targeted uncertainty of less than 2 cm in radial direction is supported through an onboard Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver, a Doppler Orbitography and Radiopositioning Integrated by Satellite instrument, and a complementary laser retroreflector for satellite laser ranging. Within this study, the potential of ambiguity fixing for GPS-only precise orbit determination (POD) of the Sentinel-3 spacecraft is assessed. A refined strategy for carrier phase generation out of low-level measurements is employed to cope with half-cycle ambiguities in the tracking of the Sentinel-3 GPS receiver that have so far inhibited ambiguity-fixed POD solutions. Rather than explicitly fixing double-difference phase ambiguities with respect to a network of terrestrial reference stations, a single-receiver ambiguity resolution concept is employed that builds on dedicated GPS orbit, clock, and wide-lane bias products provided by the CNES/CLS (Centre National d’Études Spatiales/Collecte Localisation Satellites) analysis center of the International GNSS Service. Compared to float ambiguity solutions, a notably improved precision can be inferred from laser ranging residuals. These decrease from roughly 9 mm down to 5 mm standard deviation for high-grade stations on average over low and high elevations. Furthermore, the ambiguity-fixed orbits offer a substantially improved cross-track accuracy and help to identify lateral offsets in the GPS antenna or center-of-mass (CoM) location. With respect to altimetry, the improved orbit precision also benefits the global consistency of sea surface measurements. However, modeling of the absolute height continues to rely on proper dynamical models for the spacecraft motion as well as ground calibrations for the relative position of the altimeter reference point and the CoM.
