[Termes IGN] zone homogèneRésumé : (auteur) The Chang'e-5 mission of China is planned to be launched in 2019 to the landing area near Mons Rümker located in Oceanus Procellarum. Aiming to generate a high-resolution and high-quality digital orthophoto map (DOM) of the planned landing area for supporting the mission and various scientific analyses, this study developed a systematic and effective method for large-area seamless DOM production. The mapping results of the Chang'e-5 landing area using over 700 Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera (LROC) Narrow Angle Camera (NAC) images are presented. The resultant seamless DOM has a resolution of 1.5 m, covers a large area of 20° in longitude and 4° in latitude, and is tied to SLDEM2015. The results demonstrate that the proposed method can reduce the geometric inconsistencies among the LROC NAC images to the subpixel level and the positional errors with respect to the reference digital elevation model to about one grid cell size. [Termes IGN] régressionRésumé : (Auteur) Spectral imagery using micro-unmanned aerial vehicles is rapidly advancing. This study compared reflectance calibration methods for imagery acquired using the Parrot Sequoia imager, a commercial multispectral sensor package. For the study, two orthomosaics were calibrated using 1) a manufacturer-suggested AIRINOV standard correction using PIX4D software and 2) the Empirical Line Calibration (ELC) method using ground radiometric data on specific in-scene targets. Both scenes were analyzed for target spectral agreement by ground radiometric survey. Regression analysis demonstrated more favorable target correlation for the ELC imagery than the AIRINOV-calibrated imagery, with Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) analysis supporting these results. Finally, classification maps were produced between the data sets. Error analysis resulted in an overall accuracy of 24% for the AIRINOV map compared to ELC-based truth data, with a considerable number of pixels associated with brighter targets unclassified. These results demonstrate the need for standardized calibration procedures in the spectral correction of small-format remote sensor data. [Termes IGN] raccord d'imagesRésumé : (Auteur) For multiple orthoimages mosaicking, the detection of an optimal seamline in an overlapped region and the generation of a seamline network are two key issues for creating a seamless and pleasant large-scale digital orthophoto map. In this paper, a novel system is proposed to generate the large-scale orthophoto by mosaicking multiple orthoimages via Graph cuts. The proposed system is comprised of two parts. In the first part, to ensure that the detected seamline avoids crossing the obvious objects, a novel foreground segmentation-based approach is proposed to detect the optimal seamline for two adjacent images. The foreground objects are segmented from the overlapped region at the superpixel level followed by the pixel-level seamline optimization. In the second part, we propose a novel seamline network generation approach to produce the large-scale orthophoto by mosaicking multiple orthoimages. The pairwise and junction regions extracted from the initial network are refined using two-label and multi-label Graph cuts, respectively. The key advantage of our proposed seamline network is that junction points can be automatically and optimally found using the multi-label Graph cuts. The experimental results on two groups of orthoimages show that our proposed system can generate high-quality seamline networks with less artifacts, and that it outperforms the state-of-the-art algorithm and the commercial software based on visual comparison and statistical evaluation.
