[Termes IGN] transformation en ondelettesRésumé : (auteur) Growing importance of Global Positioning System (GPS) applications in various fields, leads many researches to the security of GPS systems and investigation of eventual perturbations in them. One of the most important intentional interferences is spoofing. This work presents an anti-spoofing method based on complex wavelet transform (CWT). Fake satellites are omitted and then understrength satellites due to spoofing are identified. The results of investigation suggest that the proposed CWT based estimation and extraction method is better than relatively simple wavelet transform. The suggested filter is applied in the Intermediate Frequency signal. Cross-validation technique is used for automatically identifying wavelet signal layers. The proposed method has been implemented on different collected datasets. Software GPS Receiver has been used to implement and validate the developed anti-spoofing technique because it is more flexible and economical compared with usual hardware receivers. [Termes IGN] signal GPSRésumé : (auteur) The Global Positioning System (GPS) provides satellite-based navigation signals, which are employed in many fields, including agriculture, transportation, aviation, and military/personal navigation. In an effort to minimize interference among GPS satellites and to enable GPS receivers to discern satellite identity, each satellite is assigned a specific pseudorandom noise (PRN) sequence that is used to modulate the phase of the corresponding signal. The codes that modulate the current GPS landscape are constructed in such a way that cross-correlation among codes is kept to a bounded minimum, which should significantly limit harmful signal interference. In this study, the efficacy of the current PRN-based modulation system is called into question as GPS signal amplitude and carrier phase data over the past decade show frequent interference between satellite signals. [Termes IGN] signal GPSRésumé : (Auteur) This study analyzes the characteristics of GPS tropospheric estimates (zenith wet delays – ZWDs, gradients, and post-fit phase residuals) during the passage of mesoscale convective systems (MCSs) and evaluates their sensitivity to the research-level GPS data processing strategy implemented. Here, we focus on MCS events observed during the monsoon season of West Africa. This region is particularly well suited for the study of these events due to the high frequency of MCS occurrences in the contrasting climatic environments between the Guinean coast and the Sahel. This contrast is well sampled with data generated by six African Monsoon Multidisciplinary Analysis (AMMA) GPS stations. Tropospheric estimates for a 3-year period (2006–2008), processed with both the GAMIT and GIPSY-OASIS software packages, were analyzed and intercompared. First, the case of a MCS that passed over Niamey, Niger, on 11 August 2006 demonstrates a strong impact of the MCS on GPS estimates and post-fit residuals when the GPS signals propagate through the convective cells as detected on reflectivity maps from the MIT C-band Doppler radar. The estimates are also capable of detecting changes in the structure and dynamics of the MCS. However, the sensitivity is different depending on the tropospheric modeling approach adopted in the software. With GIPSY-OASIS, the high temporal sampling (5 min) of ZWDs and gradients is well suited for detecting the small-scale, short-lived, convective cells, while the post-fit residuals remain quite small. With GAMIT, the lower temporal sampling of the estimated parameters (hourly for ZWDs and daily for gradients) is not sufficient to capture the rapid delay variations associated with the passage of the MCS, but the post-fit phase residuals clearly reflect the presence of a strong refractivity anomaly. The results are generalized with a composite analysis of 414 MCS events observed over the 3-year period at the six GPS stations with the GIPSY-OASIS estimates. A systematic peak is found in the ZWDs coincident with the cold pool crossing time associated with the MCSs. The tropospheric gradients reflect the path of the MCS propagation (generally from east to west). This study concludes that ZWDs, gradients, and post-fit phase residuals provide relevant and complementary information on MCSs passing over or in the vicinity of a GPS station. [Vedettes matières IGN] Traitement de données GNSSRésumé : (Auteur) Processing of GNSS signals from more than one frequency band enhances the accuracy and integrity of a position solution in both standalone and differential positioning. The modern GPS program and newly launched GNSS systems such as GALILEO, BeiDou allow civilians to access signals from multiple frequencies in the L-band spectrum. While there are some advantages in triple-frequency processing in carrier phase applications, in general most of the standalone kinematic receivers get benefit from dual-frequency signals for ionosphere error correction. In implementing a dual-frequency receiver, it is necessary to select a combination of frequencies leading to an optimum performance of the existing civilian signals. In the current research work, we have analyzed the performance of dual-frequency receiver in terms of combined signal observation noise, sensitivity and robustness using analytical models by taking the combination of GPS L1, L2C and L5 signals as an example. Further, we have investigated the benefits of common Doppler estimate-based two-frequency signal tracking to reduce the noise in linear combination of observations. Through analytical and experimental results, it is confirmed that the L1/L5 signal combination in GPS system has low observation noise, which is suitable to use in high accuracy and precise positioning applications using standalone dual-frequency receiver. Further, it is shown that common Doppler estimate-based dual-frequency signal tracking has improved receiver tracking loop performance in terms of observation noise and multipath in linear combination of observations and enhanced receiver sensitivity and robustness. In GPS system, L1/L5 signals processed using common Doppler estimate-aided two-frequency signal tracking architecture, it is possible to effectively mitigate ionosphere delay and other receiver observation errors, to achieve less than 1 m position accuracy using unambiguous code phase observations. Proposed analysis is applicable of finding an optimal two-frequency signal combination in multi-frequency GNSS system and suitable signal processing architecture to obtain high accuracy and precise ionosphere-free position solution using code phase observations in standalone dual-frequency receiver.
