[Termes IGN] précision géométrique (imagerie)Résumé : (Auteur) The potential of large-scale block adjustment (BA) without ground control points (GCPs) has long been a concern among photogrammetric researchers, which is of effective guiding significance for global mapping. However, significant problems with the accuracy and efficiency of this method remain to be solved. In this study, we analyzed the effects of geometric errors on BA, and then developed a step-wise BA method to conduct integrated processing of large-scale ZY-3 satellite images without GCPs. We first pre-processed the BA data, by adopting a geometric calibration (GC) method based on the viewing-angle model to compensate for systematic errors, such that the BA input images were of good initial geometric quality. The second step was integrated BA without GCPs, in which a series of technical methods were used to solve bottleneck problems and ensure accuracy and efficiency. The BA model, based on virtual control points (VCPs), was constructed to address the rank deficiency problem caused by lack of absolute constraints. We then developed a parallel matching strategy to improve the efficiency of tie points (TPs) matching, and adopted a three-array data structure based on sparsity to relieve the storage and calculation burden of the high-order modified equation. Finally, we used the conjugate gradient method to improve the speed of solving the high-order equations. To evaluate the feasibility of the presented large-scale BA method, we conducted three experiments on real data collected by the ZY-3 satellite. The experimental results indicate that the presented method can effectively improve the geometric accuracies of ZY-3 satellite images. This study demonstrates the feasibility of large-scale mapping without GCPs. [Termes IGN] précision géométrique (imagerie)Résumé : (auteur) This article deals with the use of unmanned platforms of less than 2 kg in weight for the aerial image acquisition, its subsequent processing and the study of the precision reached in aerotrian-gulation, a step prior to obtaining the final products. This is done using a flight made on the ruins of the monastery of Toni Roden in Hoxter, Germany. The aerotriangulation of the fli-ght with photogrammetric software is carried out in ten different assumptions in order to verify the aerotriangulation quality of blocks of images captured with RPAS photogrammetric systems with standard no nmetric cameras, the accuracy of ae roclria n-g ul etion processing without points of control in the field, it is studied if the use of non-metric cameras affects the accuracy of the products, the quality of the digital surface models generated from the dense cloud of points is checked and the scopes of use of the photogrammetric RPAS systems (Remotely Piloted Aircraft System). As main conclusions can be highlighted that, with the software used, better results are obtained in the aerotriangula-tion and in the final products increasing the overlap to 80% and that the use of non-metric cameras does not affect the accuracy. [Termes IGN] réflectance de surfaceRésumé : (Auteur) Low-cost flight-based hyperspectral imaging systems have the potential to provide important information for ecosystem and environmental studies as well as aide in land management. To realize this potential, methods must be developed to provide large-area surface reflectance data allowing for temporal data sets at the mesoscale. This paper describes a bootstrap method of producing a large-area, radiometrically referenced hyperspectral data set using the Landsat surface reflectance (LaSRC) data product as a reference target. The bootstrap method uses standard hyperspectral processing techniques that are extended to remove uneven illumination conditions between flight passes, allowing for radiometrically self-consistent data after mosaicking. Through selective spectral and spatial resampling, LaSRC data are used as a radiometric reference target. Advantages of the bootstrap method include the need for minimal site access, no ancillary instrumentation, and automated data processing. Data from two hyperspectral flights over the same managed agricultural and unmanaged range land covering approximately 5.8 km2 acquired on June 21, 2014 and June 24, 2015 are presented. Data from a flight over agricultural land collected on June 6, 2016 are compared with concurrently collected ground-based reflectance spectra as a means of validation. In this study, the effectiveness of pan-sharpening methods such as principal component analysis (PCA), brovey transform (BT), modified intensity hue saturation (M-IHS), multiplicative, wavelet-intensity-hue-saturation (W-IHS), wavelet principal component analysis (W-PCA), hyperspectral colour space (HCS), high-pass filter (HPF), gram-schmidt (GS), subtractive resolution merge (SRM), Fuze Go and Ehlers was assessed and compared by fusing the PAN and MS imagery of Quickbird-2. The qualities of the pan-sharpening methods were evaluated by both visual and quantitative analyses with respect to spatial and spectral fidelity. In quantitative analysis, the spectral indices such as spectral angle mapper (SAM), relative dimensionless global error in synthesis (ERGAS), structural similarity index method (SSIM), relative average spectral error (RASE), correlation coefficient (CC) and universal image quality index (Q) were used. The spatial indices such as spatial correlation coefficient (SCC), gradient and image entropy (E) were used. The result of both analyses revealed that the Ehlers and Fuze Go methods performed better than the other methods. The Ehlers method was superior by retaining the colour information, and Fuze Go best enhanced the spatial details in the fused image.
