[Termes IGN] temps de réponseRésumé : (Auteur) In 2010, some Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) has been constructing and there will be over 100 navigation satellites around the Earth. In particular, Asia longitude area will be the most viewable area from the navigation satellites because of the GLONASS (GLObal NAvigation Satellite System), QZSS (quasi-zenith satellite system) and Compass / Beidou-2 in next 10 years. This paper introduces the activities of the each GNSS and the trend of the multi-GNSS utilizations. [Termes IGN] système d'extensionRésumé : (Auteur) The US is planning to reconfigure the GPS constellation to provide a better, 27-satellite geometry over Afghanistan. At the moment 30 GPS satellites are operational but a number of these are located quite close together effectively creating a 24 satellite constellation. With the proposed reconfiguration the currently experienced outages in mountainous Afghanistan could be countered. If the repostioning takes place it would take around six months to complete.
