[Termes IGN] téléphonie mobileRésumé : (auteur) This paper is an output of a French national project called iSpace&Time aiming to provide a 4 dimensional platform of an urban dynamics. In order to express the urban traffic, we took an advantage of the mobile phone data to investigate the behavior of the origin destination flow within the Paris and its suburb aiming to explore the different mode of the transportation. Indeed the spatiotemporal heterogeneities of mobile phone data make the task of mode of transportation separation very challenging, sometimes even impossible. Thus, by exploring the OD matrix in order to revealing any probable continues trends or any dominant trace of the flow stating a specific mode of transportation, the commuter trains happened to be somehow detectable. Then an individual-based step-by-step approach is proposed to estimate mode of transportation from mobile phone data. Analyzing the individual trajectory, the decision is given to a segment level with respect to different measures. An early promising outcome consists of detection of the segments in which people would take the metro. [Termes IGN] trajet (mobilité)Résumé : (auteur) Mobile phone operators produce enormous amounts of data. In this paper, we present applications performed with a dataset (communication events + handover and Location Area Up-date) collected by the operator Orange from 31 March to 11 April 2009 for the whole Paris Region. Trips are deduced from the spatio-temporal trajectory of devices through a hypothesis of stationarity within a Location Area in order to define activities. Trips are then aggregated in an origin-destination matrix which is compared with traditional data (census data and household travel survey). [Vedettes matières IGN] GéovisualisationRésumé : (auteur) With the emergence of mobile phone trace datasets, new opportunities have arisen for improving the understanding large-scale mobility behaviours. The potential impact of these insight derived from these data is no more significant than in the developing country context, where existing data collection infrastructure is limited or non-existent. In this research, mobile phone data for Dakar, Senegal is used to better understand urban activity and mobility dynamics. To achieve this, a clustering method is introduced that extracts the spatial distribution, and the temporal characteristics, of the activities of individual mobile phone users. With this classification of individual locations of activity, citywide trends in activity and mobility over time are derived. The paper concludes in discussing the potential and limitations of this approach, and the outlook for associated analyses that employ mobile phone trace data. [Termes IGN] téléphonie mobileRésumé : (Auteur) Location privacy in mobile, location-aware applications is a prominent research topic spanning across different disciplines and with strong societal implications and expectations. The tumultuous growth of the mobile applications market over the past few years has however hindered the development of a systematic organization and classification of location privacy concepts. In this paper we focus on one of the key concepts, i.e. location privacy metric. We survey existing approaches to the measurement of location privacy and propose a classification framework. The notion of location privacy metric, however, cannot be fully understood without describing the context in which these metrics are used. To that extent we elaborate on the notions of application model and privacy model. The ultimate goal is to contribute to the specification of a conceptual framework for location privacy.
