[Termes IGN] trajectographie (positionnement)Résumé : (Auteur) Three multi-spectral bands of the Liss-4 camera of IRS-P6 satellite are physically separated in the focal plane in the along-track direction. The time separation of 2.1 s between the acquisition of first and last bands causes scan lines acquired by different bands to lie along different lines on the ground which are not parallel. Therefore, the raw images of multi-spectral bands need to be registered prior to any simple application like data visualization. This paper describes a method for co-registration of multiple bands of Liss-4 camera through photogrammetric means using the collinearity equations. A trajectory fit using the given ephemeris and attitude data, followed by direct georeferencing is being employed in this model. It is also augmented with a public domain DEM for the terrain dependent input to the model. Finer offsets after the application of this parametric technique are addressed by matching a small subsection of the bands (100*100 pixels) using an image-based method. Resampling is done by going back to original raw data when creating the product after refining image coordinates with the offsets. Two types of aligned products are defined in this paper and their operational flow is described. Datasets covering different types of terrain and also viewed with different geometries are studied with extensive number of points. The band-to-band registration (BBR) accuracies are reported. The algorithm described in this paper for co-registration of Liss-4 bands is an integral part of the software package Value Added Products generation System (VAPS) for operational generation of IRS-P6 data products. [Termes IGN] tour (bâtiment)Résumé : (Auteur) This paper presents a method for creating orthoimage in the urban area of extremely high buildings. The proposed method in this paper is different from the traditional methods, which improved the accuracy by increasing the number and/or improved the geometric distribution of ground control points. This proposed method first established a mathematical model of constraint condition on the building edges, such as perpendicularity, and then the established constraint conditions are merged into the orthorectification model. A test field located in downtown of Denver, CO, has been used to evaluate our methods. The experiments of comparing the accuracy achieved by our method and other methods are conducted. The experimental results demonstrated that the proposed method can improve the accuracy of 2-5 ft for those buildings of over 100 m high and even 5-7 ft for those buildings over 100 m high in the margin of imagery. [Termes IGN] superposition d'imagesRésumé : (auteur) Today, new earth observation missions are designed from satellite to ground segment to best fit the end-user needs while reducing the overall costs and complexity. Furthermore, an efficient use of high resolution image data is only possible if its location is accurate enough. The accuracy of the image location model depends on the knowledge of platform and orbital parameters (instruments calibration, satellite orbit and pointing) and also of the ground elevation (Digital Elevation Model). Good accuracy can be ensured by stringent requirements on onboard equipments (GPS, gyro, ...) but also by appropriate ground processing which is easier and less expensive to setup. This paper describes and evaluates an automatic method to improve location models during ground processing. This method has been implemented and tested at CNES for current and new missions (such as SPOT/FORMOSAT image ortho-rectification, Pleiades-HR images mosaicking or Venμs images time-series generation). These results must be considered for future missions designing. [Termes IGN] superposition d'imagesRésumé : (auteur) Accurate rigid and non-rigid tracking of faces is a challenging task in computer vision. Recently, appearance-based 3D face tracking methods have been proposed. These methods can successfully tackle the image variability and drift problems. However, they may fail to provide accurate out-of-plane face motions since they are not very sensitive to out-of-plane motion variations. In this paper, we present a framework for fast and accurate 3D face and facial action tracking. Our proposed framework retains the strengths of both appearance and 3D data-based trackers. We combine an adaptive appearance model with an online stereo-based 3D model. We provide experiments and performance evaluation which show the feasibility and usefulness of the proposed approach.
