[Termes IGN] WebSIGRésumé : (Auteur) A quater of the heat generated in our houses is lost through roofs. Replacement of the entire roof is too costly for most homeowners, who would prefer to carry out focused repair work. For this they need to know exactly where the roof is leaking. An in-situ thermal survey is expensive, and thus an unattractive option. Home Energy Assessment Technologies, HEAT, represents software, hardware, data provision and web-portal service that enables free-of charge, automatic assessment of domestic waste-heat footprints by simply clicking on their house in Google maps. The authors present the result of a pilot project. [Termes IGN] WebSIGRésumé : (Auteur) The spatial decision-making process in multi-user environment is a quite challenging and complex task in group decision-making environment. The effective database design and GIS analysis techniques are very important at the host organization level. The biodiversity conservation prioritization is one of the complex issues for the conservation authorities. Various ecological and socio-economic drivers govern the spatial distribution of biologically rich communities. These drivers are important inputs to the modelling process with different rank criteria and probabilistic weight in order to arrive at a decision-making process. In the present article, a new database design and decision analysis technique is proposed for the natural resource management and planning in Web geographic information systems environment. The study is demonstrated for the geospatial decision analysis with an output validation utility where the analytic hierarchy process is used to derive the eigen vectors with given multiple constraints and conflicting criteria and aims at selecting an optimal site for the biodiversity conservations. [Termes IGN] WebSIGRésumé : (Auteur) This article examines walkability areas in Tsukuba and presents results on the web by creating Walkability WebGIS. ALOS image, Zenrin, and road maps were used for the study. Greenness index was computed to highlight urban greeneries in the walkability areas. A fieldwork was conducted to verify the research results. From well settled to tranquil areas were identified to better inform the walkers or bicycle riders. Walkability routes were further graded into five levels of suitability ranging from very low to very high based on the greenness index. Walkability WebGIS (http://sae.sk.tsukuba.ac.jp/TsukubaWalkability/default. aspx) including easy-to-use help system was developed on ArcGIS Server platform to disseminate the results to the Tsukuba residents. Geographic data exploration tool bar, search and proximity analysis functions were also provided in the system. In this system, the residents can freely explore the maps and use spatial functions to understand their surrounding walkability environments, and print the maps for their daily use. [Termes IGN] WebSIGRésumé : (Auteur) A web site was designed to disseminate new information on historical landslides and floods in Umbria, central Italy. The historical information was compiled through a thorough review of existing catalogues of historical landslide and flood events, supplemented by an extensive search of local historical archives and chronicles, for the period before 1900. The new catalogue lists 1983 landslide events in the period from 1139 to 2001, and 1956 flood events in the period from 860 to 2001. In the considered period, in Umbria there were at least 1,531 sites affected one or more times by landslides, and at least 1,071 sites affected one or more times by inundations. The seasonal distribution of landslides and inundations was found different before and after 1900, most probably because of incompleteness of the historical record prior to 1900. WebGIS technology was used to disseminate the geographical and thematic information on historical landslides and floods in Umbria. The GIS-based web site is aimed at a diversified audience of experts and private citizens seeking information on geo-hydrological hazards in Umbria.
