[Vedettes matières IGN] Végétation et changement climatiqueRésumé : (Auteur) In the last decades, the plants have to cope with the warming of the climate. As a consequence of this process more than half of the plant species could become vulnerable or threatened until 2080. Romania has a high plant diversity, with endemic and endangered plant species, the measures of biodiversity conservation being necessary. The integrated approach of biodiversity conservation involves both in situ and ex situ strategies. Among ex situ methods of conservation, besides the traditional ones (including field and botanic collection and seed banks), in vitro tissues techniques offer a viable alternative. The germplasm collections can efficiently preserve the species (of economic, scientific and conservative importance), in the same time being a source of plant material for international exchanges and for reintroduction in the native habitats. The "in vitro gene banking" term refers to in vitro tissues cultures from many accessions of a target species and involves the collection of plant material from field or from native habitats, the elaboration of sterilization, micropropagation and maintaining protocols. These collections have to be maintained in optimal conditions, morphologically and genetically characterized. The aim of our work was to characterize the response of the plant material to the minimal in vitro growth protocol for medium-term cultures achievement as a prerequisite condition for an active gene bank establishment in two rare Caryophyllaceae taxa: Dianthus spiculifolius and D. glacialis ssp. gelidus. Among different factors previously tested for medium-term preservation in Dianthus genus, mannitol proved to be more efficient for minimal cultures achievement. In vitro, the cultures were evaluated concerning their growth, regenerability and enzyme activity (POX, SOD, CAT) as a response to the preservation conditions in the incipient phase of the initiation of the in vitro collection. The two species considered in this study showed a good in vitro behavior when using the mannitol as growth retardant. Over the north and south islands of New Zealand we couple a simple vegetation process based model 3PG (Predicting Physiological Principals of Growth) with constraints provided by estimates of the fraction of photosynthetically absorbed radiation (JPAR) derived from the SPOT 4 satellite. Model predictions of national forest and scrub above ground Net Primary productivity (NPPA) were compared to estimated values derived from previously published values at both individual plot locations and regions, stratified by vegetation type.
Comparison of the field estimated fraction of fPAR values across the range of vegetation types in the North and South Islands and SPOT 4 VEGETATION NDVI indices indicated the imagery explained 83% of the variation in fPAR. The 3PG predictions coupled with remote sensing observations of above ground stand NPPA for 6 individual sites across both islands correlated well (adjusted r2=0.80, pNuméro de notice : A2003-047 Affiliation des auteurs : non IGN Thématique : FORET/IMAGERIE Nature : Article nature-HAL : ArtAvecCL-RevueIntern DOI : 10.1080/10106040208542249 En ligne : https://doi.org/10.1080/10106040208542249 Format de la ressource électronique : URL article Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=22344

Particularly, they will find pedagogic descriptions and useful references about climatic models, forest evolutions, dynamics of populations, utilisation of remote sensing for biosphere modeling, knowledge bases and reasoning mechanisms use for environment and ecosystems management, application of artificial intelligence as multi-agents simulations to try to describe ant to validate agents actions' considering parallel artificial worlds, applications of inverse methods (sentinel method) to retrieve pollutant sources. The techniques of scaling and fuzzy sets applications necessary to interpret environment data and some cautions in data manipulations due to possible ambiguities are also presented. The reader would have to realize that in a real interdisciplinary approach of environment which is considered now to be absolutely necessary to be able to respond to environment questions with a maximum of confidence in the different concerned domains, these different types of techniques and models would have to be necessary coupled and to interact in what is said complex systems modelling: these kind of models are the tools to try to represent and to imitate the real world for cognition and to give the probable evolutions of such systems which are the required evolution scenarios.
