[Termes IGN] processus ponctuel marquéRésumé : (Auteur) In this study, we propose an automatic detection algorithm for cloud/shadow on remote sensing optical images. It is based on physical properties of clouds and shadows, namely for a cloud and its associated shadow: both are connex objects of similar shape and area, and they are related by their relative locations. We show that these properties can be formalized using Markov Random Field (MRF) framework at two levels: one MRF over the pixel graph for connexity modelling, and one MRF over the graph of objects (clouds and shadows) for their relationship modelling. Then, we show that, practically, having performed an image pre-processing step (channel inter-calibration) specific to cloud detection, the local optimization of the proposed MRF models leads to a rather simple image processing algorithm involving only six parameters. Using a 39 image database, performance is shown and discussed, in particular in comparison with the Marked Point Process approach. Classical techniques for image analysis, such as pixel-based classifications or region-based segmentations, do not allow to fully exploit the richness of this kind of images. Indeed, for many applications, we are interested in complex objects which can only be identified and analyzed by studying the relationships between the elementary objects which compose them. In this paper, the use of a spatial reasoning technique called region connection calculus for the analysis of HR remote-sensing images is presented. A graph-based representation of the spatial relationships between the regions of an image is used within a graph-matching procedure in order to implement an object detection algorithm. Note de contenu : 1 Introduction

Airborne lidar data is very suitable as a basis for damage analyses because it can be acquired for large areas directly after a disaster. In building damage classification methods, plane surfaces extracted from post-event lidar data are often used as one input. Various different algorithms exist for automatic plane detection from lidar data, of which two are presented in this paper and applied to lidar data of undamaged and damaged buildings. Finally, the suitability of these two algorithms for a more detailed building damage classification is studied and analysed. [Termes IGN] représentation du reliefRésumé : (Auteur) From now on, the French National Mapping Agengy (IGN France) is set up with the BD Topo. This is a topographic vector database that covers the whole national territory. IGN decided to produce base maps at 1:25k and 1:50k from this database. On topographic mountain maps, rock areas are among the map elements that are the most difficult to produce with digital cartography. In the past, they have been drawn manually by experienced cartographers, using graphic means and working with aerial photographs. Now, e need to focus on 2 points with a digital approach, the first one is the detection and an automated classification of concerned areas. The next one is the development of an adapted cartographic representation of rocks and scree areas. This article presents the first results on these problems. As far as possible, we aim at having automated high mountain cartography with lower production costs. Also, we would like it to be as expressive as it was in previous maps. This is to keep the same cartographic quality of the current base map at 1:25k and 1:50k.
