[Termes IGN] segmentationRésumé : (auteur) We propose a point segmentation and grouping method to generate road maps from GPS traces. First, we present a progressive point cloud segmentation algorithm based on Total Least Squares (TLS) line fitting. Second, we group topologically connected point clusters by the point's orientation and cluster's spatial proximity, where the topological relationship is generated using Hidden Markov Model (HMM) map matching. Finally, we refine the intersections of roads so that their geometrical and topological relationships are consistent with each other. Experimental results show that our algorithm is robust to noises and the generated road network has a high accuracy in terms of geometry and topology. Compare to the representative algorithms; the results of our new algorithm have a higher F-measure score for different matching thresholds. [Termes IGN] téléphonie mobileRésumé : (Auteur) With the popularity of mobile devices and smartphones, we have witnessed rapid growth in mobile applications and services, especially in location-based services (LBS). According to a mobile marketing survey, maps/location searches are among the most utilized services on smartphones. Points of interest (POIs), such as stores, shops, gas stations, parking lots, and bus stops, are particularly important for maps/location searches. Existing map services such as Google Maps and Wikimapia are constructed manually either professionally or with crowd sourcing. However, manual annotation is costly and limited in current POI search services. With the abundance of information on the Web, many store POIs can be extracted from the Web. In this paper, we focus on automatically constructing a POI database to enable store POI map searches. We propose techniques that are required to construct a POI database, including focused crawling, information extraction, and information retrieval techniques. We first crawl Yellow Page web sites to obtain vocabularies of store names. These vocabularies are then investigated with search engines to obtain sentences containing these store names from search snippets in order to train a store name recognition model. To extract POIs scattered across the Web, we propose a query-based crawler to find address-bearing pages that might be used to extract addresses and store names. We crawled 1.25 million distinct POI pairs scattered across the Web and implemented a POI search service via Apache Lucent’s search platform, called Solr. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed geographical information retrieval model outperforms Wikimapia and a commercial app called ‘What’s the Number?’ Numéro de notice : A2016-309 Affiliation des auteurs : non IGN Thématique : GEOMATIQUE Nature : Article nature-HAL : ArtAvecCL-RevueIntern DOI : 10.1080/13658816.2015.1133820 En ligne : http://dx.doi.org/10.1080/13658816.2015.1133820 Format de la ressource électronique : URL article Permalink : https://documentation.ensg.eu/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=80909

[Termes IGN] système de coordonnéesRésumé : (Auteur) This paper presents a completely automatic processing chain for orthorectification of optical pushbroom sensors. The procedure is robust and works without manual intervention from raw satellite image to orthoimage. It is modularly divided in four main steps: metadata extraction, automatic ground control point (GCP) extraction, geometric modeling, and orthorectification. The GCP extraction step uses georeferenced vector roads as a reference and produces a file with a list of points and their accuracy estimation. The physical geometric model is based on collinearity equations and works with sensor-corrected (level 1) optical satellite images. It models the sensor position and attitude with second-order piecewise polynomials depending on the acquisition time. The exterior orientation parameters are estimated in a least squares adjustment, employing random sample consensus and robust estimation algorithms for the removal of erroneous points and fine-tuning of the results. The images are finally orthorectified using a digital elevation model and positioned in a national coordinate system. The usability of the method is presented by testing three RapidEye images of regions with different terrain configurations. Several tests were carried out to verify the efficiency of the procedure and to make it more robust. Using the geometric model, subpixel accuracy on independent check points was achieved, and positional accuracy of orthoimages was around one pixel. The proposed procedure is general and can be easily adapted to various sensors. [Termes IGN] SIG 3DRésumé : (Auteur) This paper discusses a new approach in object extraction from aerial images with association of point cloud data. The extracted objects are captured in a 3D space for reconstructing a 3D model. The process includes three steps. In the first step the targeted objects are extracted from point cloud data and captured in a 3D space. The objects include buildings, trees, roads and background or terrain. In the second step the extracted objects are registered to the aerial image for assisting the object detection. Finally, the extracted objects from the aerial image are registered on the original 3D model for conversion to the point cloud data and then are captured in a 3D space for reconstructing a new 3D model. The final 3D model is flexible and editable. The objects can be edited, audited, and manipulated without affecting another objects or ruin the 3D model. Also, more data can be integrated in the 3D model improve its quality. The aspects of this project are: to reconstruct the final 3D model, and then each object can be interactively updated or modified without affecting the whole 3D model, and to provide a database for other users such as 3D GIS, city management and planning, Disaster Management System (DBS), and Smart City application.
