[Termes IGN] volcanRésumé : (Auteur) The combination of ascending and descending persistent scatterers interferometric (PSI) data by means of resampling and/or spatial interpolation, separately for each synthetic aperture radar geometry, is a commonly followed procedure, limited though by the reduced spatial coverage and the introduced uncertainties from multiple rasterization steps. Herein, an alternative approach is proposed for combining different PSI line-of-sight observables in the vector domain, based on the geographic proximity of PS point targets. In the proposed nearest neighbour vector approach all necessary analysis steps are performed by means of attributes transfer and calculations between features geodatabases, prior to any rasterization. By increasing the number of input point vectors during subsequent interpolation, the overall error budget coming from spatial interpolation is being reduced. The advantages of the proposed vector-based approach compared to the commonly used grid-based procedure are being demonstrated using real data. [Termes IGN] téléphonie mobileRésumé : (Auteur) Novel digital data sources allow us to attain enhanced knowledge about locations and mobilities of people in space and time. Already a fast-growing body of literature demonstrates the applicability and feasibility of mobile phone-based data in social sciences for considering mobile devices as proxies for people. However, the implementation of such data imposes many theoretical and methodological challenges. One major issue is the uneven spatial resolution of mobile phone data due to the spatial configuration of mobile network base stations and its spatial interpolation. To date, different interpolation techniques are applied to transform mobile phone data into other spatial divisions. However, these do not consider the temporality and societal context that shapes the human presence and mobility in space and time. The paper aims, first, to contribute to mobile phone-based research by addressing the need to give more attention to the spatial interpolation of given data, and further by proposing a dasymetric interpolation approach to enhance the spatial accuracy of mobile phone data. Second, it contributes to population modelling research by combining spatial, temporal and volumetric dasymetric mapping and integrating it with mobile phone data. In doing so, the paper presents a generic conceptual framework of a multi-temporal function-based dasymetric (MFD) interpolation method for mobile phone data. Empirical results demonstrate how the proposed interpolation method can improve the spatial accuracy of both night-time and daytime population distributions derived from different mobile phone data sets by taking advantage of ancillary data sources. The proposed interpolation method can be applied for both location- and person-based research, and is a fruitful starting point for improving the spatial interpolation methods for mobile phone data. [Termes IGN] relation spatialeRésumé : (auteur) Geographically weighted regression (GWR) is an important local technique to model spatially varying relationships. A single distance metric (Euclidean or non-Euclidean) is generally used to calibrate a standard GWR model. However, variations in spatial relationships within a GWR model might also vary in intensity with respect to location and direction. This assertion has led to extensions of the standard GWR model to mixed (or semiparametric) GWR and to flexible bandwidth GWR models. In this article, we present a strongly related extension in fitting a GWR model with parameter-specific distance metrics (PSDM GWR). As with mixed and flexible bandwidth GWR models, a back-fitting algorithm is used for the calibration of the PSDM GWR model. The value of this new GWR model is demonstrated using a London house price data set as a case study. The results indicate that the PSDM GWR model can clearly improve the model calibration in terms of both goodness of fit and prediction accuracy, in contrast to the model fits when only one metric is singly used. Moreover, the PSDM GWR model provides added value in understanding how a regression model’s relationships may vary at different spatial scales, according to the bandwidths and distance metrics selected. PSDM GWR deals with spatial heterogeneities in data relationships in a general way, although questions remain on its model diagnostics, distance metric specification, and computational efficiency, providing options for further research. [Termes IGN] triangulation de DelaunayRésumé : (auteur) Spatial anomalies may be single points or small regions whose non-spatial attribute values are significantly inconsistent with those of their spatial neighborhoods. In this article, a Spatial Anomaly Points and Regions Detection method using multi-constrained graphs and local density (SAPRD for short) is proposed. The SAPRD algorithm first models spatial proximity relationships between spatial entities by constructing a Delaunay triangulation, the edges of which provide certain statistical characteristics. By considering the difference in non-spatial attributes of adjacent spatial entities, two levels of non-spatial attribute distance constraints are imposed to improve the proximity graph. This produces a series of sub-graphs, and those with very few entities are identified as candidate spatial anomalies. Moreover, the spatial anomaly degree of each entity is calculated based on the local density. A spatial interpolation surface of the spatial anomaly degree is generated using the inverse distance weight, and this is utilized to reveal potential spatial anomalies and reflect their whole areal distribution. Experiments on both simulated and real-life spatial databases demonstrate the effectiveness and practicability of the SAPRD algorithm.
