[Termes IGN] urbanisationRésumé : (auteur) Since the 21st century, the rapid development of China’s mega-city clusters has posed a major threat to the healthy and coordinated development of cities. Therefore, it is necessary to be develop the comprehend the state of coupling coordination among mega-city cluster and EEQ under mesoscale. In this study, the largest Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration is taken as the research object, NS-RSEI is constructed to evaluate the EEQ of the Yangtze River Delta, and the coupling coordination mechanism on the long-time series of the Yangtze River Delta in recent 20 years is explored by means of spatio-temporal analysis. The outcome verify that CCD of the Yangtze River Delta growth with a strong spatial dependence from 2001 to 2020, showing a spatial distribution pattern of " East West high-low". Above all, this study shows that urbanization is the main factor determining the development of CCD. In addition, compared with the traditional remote sensing eco-environment monitoring model, NS-RSEI proposed in this study shows better ability in mesoscale environmental monitoring, and provides great convenience for mesoscale EEQ evaluation. This study fills the research gap of the interactive coupling mechanism between urbanization and eco-environment quality of mesoscale mega-city group, and provides a new perspective on the sustainable development of megacity clusters. [Termes IGN] urbanisationRésumé : (auteur) Most of World’s mega-cities are facing high population growth. To accommodate the increased population, new built-up areas are emerging at the periphery or fringe area of cities. New urbanisation has an adverse impact on the existing Land Use Land Cover (LULC). To monitor and analyse the impact of urbanisation, LULC change analysis has become the primary concern for LULC monitoring agencies. In this study, LULC change of Chennai has been assessed during 1981–2011 using temporal Landsat data. All the dataset has been classified using Maximum Likelihood Classifier (MLC). Quantitative change in LULC has been carried out using Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient, Transition Potential Matrix, Land Use Dynamic Degree and MLC. Further, spatio-temporal change analysis has been performed using Post-classification comparison technique. Cellular Automata-Markov (CA-Markov) Model used for LULC prediction for 2021–2051. The urban area of Chennai has increased from 40.74 to 103.52 km2 during 1981–2011. Further, LULC prediction using the CA-Markov model shows that the urban area of Chennai district may increase from 103.52 to 140.79 km2 during 2011–2051. During the period 1981–2051, the prediction model indicates that mostly vegetation and barren land will be converted into urban land class. [Termes IGN] paysage urbainRésumé : (Auteur) Understanding the process of urban expansion in megacities is considerably important. In this study, megacity Mumbai was selected as the study area. Based on the urban maps retrieved from Landsat images in 1973–2018, we mapped and quantified the detailed urban expansion process of Mumbai by adopting the expansion area and speed indices, centroid shift model, urban expansion type method, hot-zone identification method and landscape metrics. The results indicated that: (1) urban land remarkably expanded, and its centroid moved from the southwest to the northeast direction, mainly adopting the edge-expansion form. (2) Distinctly spatiotemporal heterogeneities existed in eight directions, faster in the north, northeast and east directions, whereas slower in the five other directions. (3) The number of hot-zones increased from two to three and moved outward in space from urban centroid. (4) The urban landscape of Mumbai showed the ‘diffusion, aggregation, re-diffusion’ pattern and presented differences in eight directions. [Termes IGN] zone urbaineRésumé : (auteur) Worldwide urbanization has brought about diverse types of urban land use and land cover (LULC) changes. The diversity of urban land changes, however, have been greatly under studied, since the major focus of past research has been on urban growth. In this study, we proposed a framework to characterize diverse urban land changes of 30 global megacities using monthly nighttime light time series from VIIRS data. First, we developed a Logistic-Harmonic model to fit VIIRS time series. Second, by leveraging the uniqueness of urban land change and nighttime light data, we incorporated temporal information of VIIRS time series and proposed a new classification scheme to produce monthly maps of built-up areas and to disentangle urban land changes into five categories. Third, we provided an in-depth analysis and comparison of urban land change patterns of the selected megacities. Results demonstrated that the Logistic-Harmonic model yielded a robust performance in fitting VIIRS time series. Temporal features based classification can not only significantly improve the mapping accuracy of built-up areas, especially for regions with heterogeneous built-up and non-built-up landscapes, but also promoted temporal consistency and classification efficiency. Urban land changes occurred in 51% of the built-up pixels of the megacities. Compared with urban growth, other types of urban land change, particularly land use intensification, contributed to an unexpectedly large proportion of the changes (83%). The findings of this study offer an insightful understanding on global urbanization processes in megacities, and evoke further investigation on the environmental and ecological implications of urban land changes. [Termes IGN] vitesse de déplacementRésumé : (auteur) The outcomes for emergency medical services (EMS) are highly dependent on space-time accessibility. Prior research describes the location of EMS needs with low accuracy and has not integrated a temporal analysis of the road network, which accounts for varying mobility in a dynamic transportation network. In this study, we formulated a network-based location-allocation model (NLAM) and analyzed the spatial characteristics of emergency medical facilities within the fifth ring road in Beijing by considering time, traffic, and population characteristics. The conclusions are as follows: (1) The high demand area for EMS is concentrated in the areas in middle, north, and east during the daytime (8:00–20:00) and in the middle and north during the nighttime (20:00–8:00). From day to night, the centroid of the potential demand distribution shifts in the Western and Southern areas. (2) The road traffic data is sampled 20 times throughout the week, and variations in the average driving speed affect a higher mean driving speed on the weekend. This primarily impacts the main roads, due to these roads experiencing the greatest fluctuation in speed throughout the week of any roadway in the study area. (3) Finally, the 15-min coverage of emergency medical facilities are sampled 20 times in one week and analyzed. Fortunately, there is 100% coverage at night; however, due to traffic congestion, there were a few blind coverage areas in the daytime. The blind area is prevalent in Shijingshan South Station and the Jingxian Bridge in the South fifth ring.
