[Termes IGN] signal lidarRésumé : (Auteur) Lidar waveforms are 1D signal consisting of a train of echoes where each of them correspond to a scattering target of the Earth surface. Modeling these echoes with the appropriate parametric function is necessary to retrieve physical information about these objects and characterize their properties. This paper presents a marked point process based model to reconstruct a lidar signal in terms of a set of parametric functions. The model takes into account both a data term which measures the coherence between the models and the waveforms, and a regularizing term which introduces physical knowledge on the reconstructed signal. We search for the best configuration of functions by performing a Reversible Jump Markov Chain Monte Carlo sampler coupled with a simulated annealing. Results are finally presented on different kinds of signals in urban areas. [Termes IGN] milieu urbainRésumé : (Auteur) Through research on the gravity model, the paper studies the geometric characteristics of urban influence domain and the principles for the change of urban influence domain along with the evolution of distance decay index, calculates the distribution of the gravitational field by using ARCGIS, establishes a spatial cluster system for the megalopolis in china, delineates urban influence domains by dissolving spatial features, and compartmentalizes China into 13 economic regions based on the megalopolis clusters and urban influence domains combining with the physical and economic locations. Major conclusions are: the distribution of urban gravitational field is the manifestation of regional unbalanced development; the spatial structure and characteristic of urban system can be studied through the distribution situation of urban gravitational field; the urban influence domains in China have not formed the mosaic structure of a standard regular hexagon; the economic region with weak urban gravitational field may be compressed by the region with stronger urban gravitational field. [Termes IGN] transport routierRésumé : (Auteur) This article explores the use of daytime population distributions for vehicle route planning in urban environments when proximity to population is a major consideration. A GIS-based stochastic geocoding algorithm is proposed to generate daytime population distribution patterns using travel survey data. Metropolitan Melbourne in Australia is used as a test case with data collected from the Victorian Activity and Travel Survey between 1994 and 1999. The advantage of employing daytime population distributions for vehicle route planning is then illustrated taking dangerous goods delivery and mobile billboard advertising as examples. Analysis suggests that the proposed algorithm generates population distribution patterns with finer spatial and temporal details than that obtained using other estimation methods. The algorithm also eliminates the problem of over- or under-estimation of population associated with previous attempts using travel survey data and therefore provides more accurate results.
