[Termes IGN] température au solRésumé : (auteur) With rapid urbanization, urban three-dimensional morphology and its ecological effects have received more attention. However, thorough investigations into the multiple scale impact of the 2D/3D architectural morphology on urban land surface temperature (LST) remain limited. Taking Beijing as a case study area, we quantified the contributions of the 2D/3D architectural morphology indicators and revealed their marginal effects on multiple scales using the boosted regression trees (BRT) method. The results showed that (1) the building coverage ratio and building height were the most significant factors influencing the LST across all spatial scales and seasons, (2) the 3D shape index, 3D fractal, and 3D adjacency were found to be influential factors, with sum contributions varying from 6.0% to 37.7%, and (3) in summer, the 3D shape index showed a stepwise negative correlation with the LST. The 3D fractal and 3D adjacency exhibited both positive and negative correlations with the LST. When the spatial scale was 240 m, the regulation amplitudes for the 3D shape index, 3D fractal, and 3D adjacency were 2.0°C, 1.0°C and 1.0°C, respectively. These findings provide quantitative insights that can be used to improve urban thermal environments and achieve sustainable urban development by adjusting architectural morphology. Initially used in aviation, positional information gained even more relevance in terrestrial applications with the popularity of GNSS. However, the terrestrial environment has many influences over GNSS signals, which reduces the positional quality of tracking objects. Advances have been achieved in the use of integrity monitoring algorithms, but there are limitations to their use, especially those concerning positional accuracy in urban environments with low-cost devices. This paper aims to discuss a comparative method using two low-cost GNSS receivers designed for transportation applications and to verify whether this method can evaluate positional quality in pre-established locations, as well as the possibilities of using these devices for transportation applications, considering the positional error. Results show that, in the static experiment, the receiver assembled with a GPS antenna active embedded was more accurate than the receiver assembled with an external antenna, presenting better values in 5 out of 10 evaluated sites, while the external antenna performed better in only 2 sites. However, in a kinematic evaluation, the receiver assembled with an external antenna provided better results when considering positional error as assessment criterion, resulting in values less than or equal to 8 meters in 99.7% of the route evaluated, while the embedded antenna had 95.3%. [Termes IGN] ville durableRésumé : (auteur) Road noise barriers (RNBs) are important urban infrastructures to relieve the harm of traffic noise pollution for citizens. Therefore, obtaining the spatial distribution characteristics of RNBs, such as precise positions and mileage, can be of great help for obtaining more accurate urban noise maps and assessing the quality of the urban living environment for sustainable urban development. However, an effective and efficient method for identifying RNBs and acquiring their attributes in large areas is scarce. This study constructs an ensemble classification model (ECM) to automatically identify RNBs at the city level based on Baidu Street View (BSV). Firstly, the bootstrap sampling method is proposed to build a street view image-based train set, where the effect of imbalanced categories of samples was reduced by adding confusing negative samples. Secondly, two state-of-the-art deep learning models, ResNet and DenseNet, are ensembled to construct an ECM based on the bagging framework. Finally, a post-processing method has been proposed based on geospatial analysis to eliminate street view images (SVIs) that are misclassified as RNBs. This study takes Suzhou, China as the study area to validate the proposed method. The model achieved an accuracy and F1-score of 0.98 and 0.90, respectively. The total mileage of the RNBs in Suzhou was 178,919 m. The results demonstrated the performance of the proposed RNBs identification framework. The significance of obtaining RNBs attributes for accelerating sustainable urban development has been demonstrated through the case of photovoltaic noise barriers (PVNBs). However, most previous studies have performed optimally only in open-sky conditions; therefore, high-precision localization in complex urban environments required an urgent solution. The complex urban environments employed in this study include dynamic environments, which result in limited visual localization performance, and highly occluded environments, which yield limited global navigation satellite system (GNSS) performance. In order to provide high-precision localization in these environments, we propose a vision-aided GNSS positioning method using semantic information by integrating stereo cameras and GNSS into a loosely coupled navigation system. To suppress the effect of dynamic objects on visual positioning accuracy, we propose a dynamic-simultaneous localization and mapping (Dynamic-SLAM) algorithm to extract semantic information from images using a deep learning framework. For the GPS-challenged environment, we propose a semantic-based dynamic adaptive Kalman filtering fusion (S-AKF) algorithm to develop vision aided GNSS and achieve stable and high-precision positioning. Experiments were carried out in GNSS-challenged environments using the open-source KITTI dataset to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm. The results indicate that the dynamic-SLAM algorithm improved the performance of the visual localization algorithm and effectively suppressed the error spread of the visual localization algorithm. Additionally, after vision was integrated, the loosely-coupled navigation system achieved continuous high-accuracy positioning in GNSS-challenged environments. However, data is not always available for the allergy-relevant species such as alder, birch, hazel, especially within cities where systematic inventories are often missing or not readily available. This research presents an approach to produce high-resolution abundance maps of allergenic tree species using existing forest inventories and opportunistic open-access citizen science data. Following a two-step approach, we first built species distribution models (SDMs) to predict species habitat suitability, using environmental characteristics as predictors. Second, we used statistical regressions to model the relationships between abundance, the habitat suitability predicted by the SDMs, and additional vegetation cover covariates. The combination of forest inventory data with citizen science data improves the accuracy of abundance distribution models of allergenic tree species. This produces a continuous, 1-hectare resolution map of alder, birch, and hazel showing spatial variations of abundance distributions both within the urban fabric and along the urban–rural gradient. Species abundance modelling can offer a better understanding of the existing and potential future allergy risk posed by green spaces and pave the way for a wide variety of applications at fine-scale, which is indispensable for evidence-based urban green space policy and planning in support of public health.
