[Termes IGN] transformation de HelmertRésumé : (auteur) The geometry of Adriatic Sea basin renderings on 12 portolan charts made from the late thirteenth to the late sixteenth century was compared to a modern map by applying Helmert transformation in order to preserve their initial geometry and by using the same 40 identical points per chart. In the first stage of the research, the geometry of the portolan charts was compared to six selected map projections in order to determine the geometrical ‘best fit'. In the second stage, networks of lines plotted on charts were divided regionally and functionally and compared to the ‘best fit’ map projection to determine their geometric patterns in more detail. The research results showed that Adriatic Sea basin renderings on portolan charts were probably the result of a deliberately applied map projection which was geometrically most similar to the modern conformal cylindrical (Mercator) projection. [Termes IGN] vagueRésumé : (auteur) In this paper, the methods retrieving tide and SWH using reflected BeiDou GEO satellite signals are proposed, and a data-driven method is proposed to calibrate sea state bias of the retrieved tide. In addition, an estimator combining multi-satellite observation based on linear unbiased minimum variance (LUMV) is developed to improve the retrieved precision. The B1I signal experiments in Qingdao and Shenzhen show after calibrating sea state influence using the proposed method, the root-mean-square error (RMSE) could fall to 0.40 m from 0.45 m, and compared to the single-satellite observation, the multi-satellite observation based on the LUMV estimator could significantly reduce the RMSE of the retrieved tide to 0.16 m. Shenzhen experiment is also used to evaluate the performance of retrieving SWH and the determination coefficient of 0.60 is obtained. This paper also conducts Monte Carlo simulation and experiment to evaluate the altimetry and measuring SWH precision using reflected B3I signal. The simulated results when SNR is over 5 dB, incoherent averaging number is 10000, and the receiver bandwidth is over 45 MHz, the estimated precision of the delay can reach up ∼0.15 m, and the precision of the normalized area ranges from 0.2 to 0.3 m. The B3I experiment show that compared to B1I signal, when the reflected signal from individual satellite is used, the better precision with the RMSE of 0.25 can be obtained, and when combining the measurements from the three satellites using LUMV estimator, the RMSE reduces to 0.16 m. Further, the precision of 0.12 m can be obtained by calibrating the sea state influence. [Termes IGN] reconstruction 3DRésumé : (auteur) Indoor environment model reconstruction has emerged as a significant and challenging task in terms of the provision of a semantically rich and geometrically accurate indoor model. Recently, there has been an increasing amount of research related to indoor environment reconstruction. Therefore, this paper reviews the state-of-the-art techniques for the three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction of indoor environments. First, some of the available benchmark datasets for 3D reconstruction of indoor environments are described and discussed. Then, data collection of 3D indoor spaces is briefly summarized. Furthermore, an overview of the geometric, semantic, and topological reconstruction of the indoor environment is presented, where the existing methodologies, advantages, and disadvantages of these three reconstruction types are analyzed and summarized. Finally, future research directions, including technique challenges and trends, are discussed for the purpose of promoting future research interest. It can be concluded that most of the existing indoor environment reconstruction methods are based on the strong Manhattan assumption, which may not be true in a real indoor environment, hence limiting the effectiveness and robustness of existing indoor environment reconstruction methods. Moreover, based on the hierarchical pyramid structures and the learnable parameters of deep-learning architectures, multi-task collaborative schemes to share parameters and to jointly optimize each other using redundant and complementary information from different perspectives show their potential for the 3D reconstruction of indoor environments. Furthermore, indoor–outdoor space seamless integration to achieve a full representation of both interior and exterior buildings is also heavily in demand. [Termes IGN] voisinage (relation topologique)Résumé : (Auteur) Multispectral light detection and ranging (MS-LiDAR) systems open the door to the possibility in the 3-D land cover classification at a finer scale using only point cloud data. This article proposes a model based on the tensor representation for multispectral point cloud classification. The proposed method combines the 3-D local spatial structure of each multispectral point by characterizing the point with a second-order tensor. The first mode of the tensor indicates the spatial location and spectral information of each point (i.e., the row of the second-order tensor) and the second mode denotes the neighborhood geometric and spectral structures (i.e., the column of the second-order tensor). Then we develop a novel tensor manifold discriminant embedding (TMDE) algorithm to extract the geometric–spectral features for multispectral point clouds classification. TMDE solves the mapping matrices of each mode by preserving the intraclass samples’ distribution further making it more compact and maximizing the distance of different classes. Finally, the support vector machine classifier with the extracted features as input is used to implement the classification of multispectral point clouds. Experiments are conducted on two real multispectral point cloud data sets. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can achieve significant improvements in classification accuracies in comparison with several state-of-the-art algorithms. To the best of our knowledge, few studies have been conducted on indoor accessible area generation considering distance constraints. And because of different spatial characteristics between indoor and outdoor environment, the commonly used approach in outdoor space is not suitable for indoor space. In this paper, based on the hybrid spatial data model of geometric and symbolic model, an accessible area generation approach considering distance constraints for indoor environment is proposed by improving traditional spatial buffer zone generation technique. The buffer zone generation with a predefined distance around indoor objects within their located subspace is executed first; then, based on the indoor spatial connectivity, buffer generation around exit points is successively executed in its next connected subspaces until the distance decreases to zero. The merge of these generated buffer zones is the result of accessible area generation with a predefined distance constraint. During the process, two kinds of spatial search strategies, depth-first search and breadth-first search, are presented. Two sets of experiments are conducted to validate the correctness and efficiency of the proposed approach. Results show that the approach can be effectively used to solve the problem of indoor objects’ accessible area generation with distance constraints. Moreover, the potential use, as well as the limitation of the proposed approach is discussed in this paper.
