[Termes IGN] téléphonie mobileRésumé : (auteur) Digital location traces are a relevant source of insights into how citizens experience their cities. Previous works using call detail records (CDRs) tend to focus on modeling the spatial and temporal patterns of human mobility, not paying much attention to the semantics of places, thus failing to model and enhance the understanding of the motivations behind people’s mobility. In this paper, we applied a methodology for identifying individual users’ routine locations and propose an approach for attaching semantic meaning to these locations. Specifically, we used circular sectors that correspond to cellular antennas’ signal areas. In those areas, we found that all contained points of interest (POIs), extracted their most important attributes (opening hours, check-ins, category) and incorporated them into the classification. We conducted experiments with real-world data from Coimbra, Portugal, and the initial experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed methodology to infer activities in the user’s routine areas. [Termes IGN] similitude sémantiqueRésumé : (auteur) Locating points of interest (POIs) from descriptions can support intelligent location-based services. Available research achieves it through address matching and spatial reasoning. However, semantic characteristics and spatial proximities of address fields are usually neglected in address matching; current applications of spatial reasoning represent qualitative spatial relations in semantic networks for efficient queries, but they do not yet scale to large datasets for qualitative direction reasoning due to massive qualitative direction relations between objects; moreover, spatial reasoning on various quantitative distances should be optimized. This study proposes a method that improves the accuracy of address matching by combining multiple similarities and enables quick spatial reasoning through the faster relation retrieval of compact qualitative direction representations implemented on global equal latitude and longitude grids (ELLGs) and the ELLG-based quantitative calculations. The proposed method has been verified by two real-world datasets and proven to be efficient and accurate when locating POIs in large POI datasets from descriptions. [Termes IGN] variation diurneRésumé : (auteur) The conservation of historical heritage can bring social benefits to cities by promoting community economic development and societal creativity. In the early stages of historical heritage conservation, the focus was on the museum-style concept for individual structures. At present, heritage area vitality is often adopted as a general conservation method to increase the vibrancy of such areas. However, it remains unclear whether urban morphological elements suitable for urban areas can be applied to heritage areas. This study uses ridge regression and LightGBM with multi-source big geospatial data to explore whether urban morphological elements that affect the vitality of heritage and urban areas are consistent or have different spatial distributions and daily variations. From a sample of 12 Chinese cities, our analysis shows the following results. First, factors affecting urban vitality differ from those influencing heritage areas. Second, factors influencing urban and heritage areas' vitality have diurnal variations and differ across cities. The overarching contribution of this study is to propose a quantitative and replicable framework for heritage adaptation, combining urban morphology and vitality measures derived from big geospatial data. This study also extends the understanding of forms of heritage areas and provides theoretical support for heritage conservation, urban construction, and economic development. [Termes IGN] voxelIndex. décimale : THESE Thèses et HDR Résumé : (auteur) 3D reconstruction is a long standing problem in computer vision. Yet, state-of-the-art methods still struggle when the images used have large illumination changes, many occlusions or limited textures. Deep Learning holds promises of improving 3D reconstruction in such setups, but classical methods still produce the best results. In this thesis we analyse the specificity of deep learning applied to multiview 3D reconstruction and introduce new deep learning based methods. The first contribution of this thesis is an analysis of the possible supervision for training Deep Learning models for sparse image matching. We introduce a two-step algorithm that first computes low resolution matches using deep learning and then matches classical local features inside the matches regions. We analyze several levels of supervision and show that our new epipolar supervision leads to the best results. The second contribution is also a study of supervision for Deep Learning but applied to another scenario: calibrated 3D reconstruction in the wild. We show that existing unsupervised methods do not work on such data and we introduce a new training technique that solves this issue. We then exhaustively compare unsupervised approach and supervised approaches with different network architectures and training data. Finally, our third contribution is about data representation. Neural implicit representation were recently used for image rendering. We adapt this representation to the multiview reconstruction problem and we introduce a new method that, similar to classical 3D reconstruction techniques, optimizes photo-consistency between projections of multiple images. Our approach outperforms state-of-the-art by a large margin. Note de contenu : 1- Introduction
